No, it doesn't work that way. This model can only be used with 110V power.
Yes, I could connect a shop vac, but I needed to make an adapter for a Sears Shop Vac with a large diameter hose. It might fit if you have a shop vac with a small diameter hose. Alternatively, duck tape can be used.
The weight of the shipment is approximately 7. So, if you're 75 pounds, you'll lose 7 pounds.

br>br>On the spur of the moment, I bought this planer for one reason: Fine adjustment screws on the blades allow you to level them and precisely set their depth. Why isn't this the case with every planer? br>br>It's fantastic. Except for the fact that the catch bag and exit ports are both far too small, I have no complaints. It doesn't come with any extras. DeWalt's sturdy construction - However, it is a useful tool, whereas my DeWalt is not. br>br>I don't have a lot of Ryobi tool experience, but based on the quality of this planer, I get the impression that Ryobi knows where to cut costs and where not to cut costs. It has a cheap feel to it, but it does not appear to be fragile. She's got it where it counts, just like the millennium falcon.
I was on the lookout for a cheap planer when I came across this one. I immediately began using the planer after receiving it. The planer produced a very smooth surface and made short work of the wood trimming. This planer has enough power to work on most woods without difficulty; if you're looking for a cheap planer, this is it!.
There have been several years of reports of Ryobi planers jamming on the right side, requiring you to stop planing and manually pick out all the wood chips. I still consider the tool to be a good buy. Just keep in mind that you'll have to widen the discharge openings on your own. Ryobi hasn't received the messages yet, which is unfortunate.
From impact drivers to string trimmers, I own a lot of Ryobi tools. They are all of excellent quality. This planer, on the other hand, was a completely different story. The plane's surface and blade were not parallel when it was delivered - In fact, it was off by about 1/16" from side to side. I was able to get the planer to work satisfactorily after a bit of shimming and reworking of the mounting system on the adjustable surface. The most serious flaw was that the bore hole for mounting the adjustable surface was not square with the blade. I had high hopes for this one.
As I planed the wood, the blades needed to be adjusted because it was leaving a streak on the edge. I discovered that the planer's blades were slightly too wide. I took the blades off and ground them down to match the width of the machine. br>I highly recommend this planer.
I had to reduce the size of several interior doors in order to keep the original metal frames. With ease, I was able to remove the sides and top. Even with the bag on, it makes a mess, but oh well. The tool performs admirably.
It's what I'm using to rough out the octagon on my violin bows. The jig holds the wood diagonally and the planer glides along the jig, which is difficult to see in the photo. I appreciate how the planer can be adjusted to a certain depth. With this, I was able to reduce my planning time to under 45 minutes! Saves a lot of time.
I'm confident that this product, like all of my ryobi tools, will perform admirably. I'm not sure where the delivery person put it when they dropped it off. It's closer to the road than it is to the house!.
