Selected User Reviews For Makita KP0800K-R 6.5 Amp 3-1/4 in. Planer Kit (Renewed)
The planer arrived on time, but despite the fact that it was advertised as being in "like new condition," there was plenty of dust on the unit and it had clearly been used previously. The seller is correct in stating that no blades are included. So, after factoring in the cost of new blades and the overall condition of the renewed unit, I would have been better off spending an extra $30 and getting a brand new one with all the accessories and a full warranty. However, everything is fine.
I normally purchase Bosch products, but the Bosch planer didn't seem to fit my needs. I guess Bosch isn't made in the same way that my older tools are. There were a few issues with the Bosch Planer (see my Bosch Planer review), but I haven't found any with the Makita.
The adjuster on the planner I received is broken, and I'm working to fix it. Why isn't there an option to exchange my defective unit for a good one?.
Excellent.
Kit for a Planer This Makita Power Plane arrived in brand new condition. It was purchased to replace a 15-year-old planer of similar design, and I am very pleased with it.
