Questions & Answers

Is it possible to have a planer and a bench jointer on one side of the table?

It will work with a machine that measures 20" x 25" or less. Many benchtop machines can be accommodated on the work surface. I'd put the smaller machine up first, followed by the larger machine.

Is it compatible with the Dewalt DW735 planer?

It will, in fact. Mine is on the wall.

Are you looking for a wheel kit?

There isn't a wheel kit included.

A lower shelf is available, according to the product literature, to provide more storage. Is there an Amazon option for that shelf?

Not sure. For the shelf, all you'll need is some plywood or MDF.

Strut channel makes it even better
5/5

This product, which is mostly made of metal, is simple to put together and adjust. br>br>It's missing casters, as Amazon pointed out. the ones that are incorrect If you're looking for wheels, 3/8-inch is the size to go with. The threads are M10 metric, so 16 will work. br>br>The table's shelf is made of metal. Particle board with a hard outer shell and whatever wood pulp is inside (that has no gripping power at all). I tried using a standard twist drill bit and painter's tape, but the holes were still chipped. If you want clean holes, use a fluted bit and painter's tape. br>br>When the table is finished and you're ready to drill holes for your tools, 14-gauge steel is a good choice. Instead, use a gauge strut channel. To put it another way, drill nine holes to mount six lengths of strut channel (three on each side of the table, three holes per two lengths, which is possible because the two sides mirror each other). Your tools should be mounted to two crossmember strut channel lengths, which are then mounted to the strut channel. br>br>So you'll need a total of 10 struts (5 on each side of the table). The crossmember strut channel lengths are clamped to the table with 12 strut nuts. 6 struts on each side of the table are mounted. To actually mount your tools to the crosschannel strut, you'll need at least 8 more strut nuts (four nuts per tool). I used a 10 x 3/8-inch board. 4 x 5/16-inch nuts 4 x 1/4-inch nuts (for a planer) and 18 nuts (for a planer) For a chop saw, you'll need 20 nuts. To finish it off, you'll need all of the bolts, locknuts, and fender washers. br>br>I discovered that Hillman 290033 Zinc Fender Washers, 3/8" x 1-1/2" work best with strut channel. Amazon has 1/4" for sale. For added strength, I use two of them. If you follow these steps, you'll have a fully adjustable mounting system that can accommodate changes without the need to drill additional holes. The lengths of the crossmember strut channel slides back and forth in their tracks until the strut nuts are tightened. bearing, as well as distributing forces more evenly.

It's a nice flip top table, but it's way out of my price range
4/5

I have my Dewalt 735 planer on one side and my Ridgid oscillating sander on the other, and I remember the assembly being more difficult than it should have been (I did it a few months ago). Before drilling holes, double-check your machine's orientation to ensure there are no obstacles when you flip the table. I paid $250 for it. br>br> I'm seeing it for $299 now all over the place. I'd like to get another one, but $250 was out of my price range, and $300 is outrageous. This, in my opinion, should cost around $150.

It really works
5/5

This stand is both space-saving and user-friendly. The two pieces of equipment I have on the stand are about the same weight, which makes switching between them a breeze. Although it is a little pricey, it is extremely useful. Before drilling the first hole, it's a good idea to plan out where the bolt holes will go on both machines. This way, securing both machines to the table top won't be a problem.

For a workshop with limited space, this is an excellent solution
5/5

This table is exceptionally well constructed. Even when using quite heavy machines, the flip feature is incredibly simple to use. On one side, I have a Delta 12" table top planer (approximately 80 pounds), and on the other, I have a Delta table top sander (approximately 90 pounds). I mounted the stand on a movable base so that I don't have to lug these bulky machines from storage shelf to workbench every time I need them. I'd give it a higher rating if I could!.

Strong and durable, as well as simple to operate
5/5

It's well-made. The flip top is simple to operate and rotates effortlessly. I added a shelf to the bottom of the table and mounted it on casters. It's the ideal combination table for on-the-go use. It's where I've mounted my planner as well as my jointer. It allows me to reclaim a large portion of my workbench.

The product itself is excellent, but it was damaged when it arrived
4/5

I purchased two of these and am pleased with my purchase. I would have given it five stars if the red lever on the right side of both tables hadn't been damaged/cracked but was still usable. The assembly was simple, but due to the limited space, some of the bolts were difficult to tighten.
