br>There are two types of blades. br>Steel and carbide. br>Brands with steel blades (Dewalt and Miakita) are durable. Use for toughness; the steel blade can hit hard objects that you shouldn't plane over, such as sand/dirt, and can either be removed and sharpened or continued if the finish isn't critical. Carbide inserts are suitable for use on clean wood (for the most part). If you hit something hard, the carbide insert will fracture, and you'll need to replace it. br>br>I bought this planer for fine woodwork, and the build quality is excellent.

Customers are unable to contact Amazon at this time due to the Pandemic, so what should I do to obtain these missing components?.
This planer was very heavy out of the box, and as a 125-pound woman, I was concerned about being able to handle it, but once I started using it, the weight was forgotten. It was absolutely lovely. It did an excellent job of cleaning the wood. Once you sat down and read the instructions, they were fairly simple to follow. I still believe I need to invest in a bench planer, but because I'm using a vice to hold the wood, the wood isn't being planed level because my hand is shifting.
Overall, I'm a big fan of this planer. It cuts well, is relatively simple to operate, and performs admirably when a vacuum is connected to the ejection port; the only drawback is that my inlet table is slightly out of level. I'm not sure how to fix this unless I take the whole thing apart. br>I recommend watching a YouTube video on tuning up a hand planer by building with a shipwright before doing any planing with an electric hand planer. It will show you how to adjust the blades on your hand planer properly. br>I'm using this to make a 10 foot dining table, and I'm using it to prepare the table top boards' edges and the table top itself.
If you're replacing old doors with new ones, this is a must-have tool. My 1954 house's builders must not have used a square or a stick to measure the door frames. The door frames in the Fun House at the amusement park are of higher quality. This planer was very useful and saved me a lot of time. To keep the dust down and prevent the chip discharge shoot from clogging, I used a vacuum attachment.
I bought a crafsman electric cepillo a while ago and haven't used it yet. What I noticed is that it doesn't come with a bag for the polvo, and the publication says that if you have one, it only comes with a guide and an adapter for the aspiratora. However, I don't mind because I'm a big fan of crafsman tools.
The planer does a fantastic job. It appeals to me a great deal. I only gave it three stars because it did not include a bag. It does come with a bag, according to the seller's question and answer section on their sale page. That isn't the case. With all of that said, I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with the bag. Dishonesty, on the other hand, irritates me.
I'm very impressed with the dual blades and thickness capability of this item, which comes at a great price. It planes easily and cuts down on sanding time.
