Due to the fact that I bought this planer from Amazon Warehouse Deals (open box), I do not know what issues the previous recipient(s) had with the product. After having enjoyed quite a bit of success with most of the products I have purchased here, I thought I would try the Triton TPT125 (used like new). After seeing the machine in action, I was impressed with its durability and built. In the 3 months I have had it, I have only used it a few times. As a result, the boards are smooth. My Amazon account was set up and all issues were resolved. In my experience, I have watched many reviews on different planers and this is the perfect fit for what I do, which is coasters and river tables. Upon opening the box, the tables were almost perfect with a little bit of adjusting needed. I would recommend this for the casual wood worker after normal use but will have to wait and see according to normal use.

I acquired it after screening performance reviews, so my expectations were not unrealistic. It surprised me only to hear more chatter that will soon die down. The machine is a good one that I hope will give me good results for many years to come, despite the much lower price. This book would be useful for someone who uses a workshop for more than a hobby, but does not operate.
