Product Description

The Delta three-knife cutter head delivers continuous, ultra-smooth operation with up to three times an extended blade life than other three-knife planers on the market.

In order to reduce snipe and waste, the cutting system contains a patented Cutterhead lock system and best-in-class infeed/OUTFEED tables.

Designed to allow the user to select a specific Dimension for repeatable cuts between 1-1/4" and 1/8" in depth, the infinite depth stop is highly adjustable.

An indicator for full width material removal indicates the amount of material removed by a single pass across the entire width of the material, so that the entire width of the Cutterhead can be utilized.

With high-speed steel, double-sided knives with indexed blades, you can change the blades quickly and for twice as long.

A larger handle for height adjustment of the Cutterhead is provided with an indexing ring for easy micro and macro

This Cutterhead and feed system are powered by a powerful 15 amp 120V motor to cut through the toughest

Dust chips and debris are swept away from the cutter head when using a dust collector with a 4" Dust port

The system works well, but may need to be adjusted

As a whole, the tool seems well made and is fairly easy to use. The problem is that mine didn't come set up as it was supposed to In the left side of the unit, the cutterhead was one sixteenth of an inch higher. Despite the fact that they don't provide instructions for adjusting this, I was able to accomplish it. An electrical chain drives both screws to rotate at the same time on the bottom of the unit. One of them can be removed, its right side can be adjusted to match its left side as needed, and the gear can be reinstalled.

Although only taking 1/16 off of boards, it didn't plane very well and had to constantly pull wood through

I would help him pull/push wood through the plans if he did not help me move it.

For our woodshop, we have this planer

He is satisfied with the performance of the planer. In particular, he appreciates the gauge to measure the thickness of the planed board.

The box that was shipped in was extremely damaged, and the styrofoam packaging that came with it It was missing a handle, and he rigged a handle out of a metric wrench, so the planer still works well.

I liked the smooth results and the ease of setting up and using this product. There is a moderate level of noise with this type of planer, but it has excellent accuracy!.

This does not seem to work well

Even with the smallest minimal fractions, you need to pull the wood out by hand.
Tried different types of wood and got the same result. This product is very loud when in operation and when in use.
