The blade is extremely dull

This isn't a good use of your time. The blade has lost its sharpness. You'll be sharpening it for a while.

If you don't mind spending a few hours sharpening and stropping, this is a good tool

Nice set. However, they require a lot of sharpening and stropping before they can properly skive and cut leather.

This is a miniature version. I mean, I can fit it in the palm of my hand and it's still bigger than my hand. They're cute, but they're not appropriate for my project.

They're ideal for gluing up the edges of glued-up leather

If you want a square/flat edge on leather that has been glued together, this is a great way to level it. I recommend buffing/polishing the blade edge to make it as sharp as possible; it can also be used to skive leather.
