How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
18-gauge brads with lengths ranging from 3/8 to 2 inches should be used.
The 1/4-inch NPT air inlet fitting should be used at 60 to 115 PSI.
A depth adjustment wheel, a nail gauge, a rotatable exhaust, and a quick-release 106-nail capacity magazine are among the features.
Clearing jammed nails is a breeze with the hassle-free nose latch.
Please note that nails and a case are not included. To operate a pneumatic nailer, you'll need an air compressor.

Questions & Answers

Is there a metal magazine on this? I have a Hitachi that has broken twice due to the plastic magazine. ?

The magazine is, in fact, made of metal. This is an excellent tool.

What kind of fitting, plug, or adapter should I use to connect this to an air compressor?

1/4" male and female coupler, as well as 1/4" quick connect. It's possible that the male coupler you received does not match your connector, so you'll have to replace it.

I'm curious about the manufacturing location of this tool. ?

China

Is it a compressor or a battery?

As a minimum, a compressor of 2 HP is required. You won't be able to find an electric tool like this for that price again. Furthermore, the name of the tool implies that it is neumátic. Everything is pneumatic because it works with air (like the pneumatics in automobiles).

Selected User Reviews For WEN 61721 18-Gauge 3/8-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Brad Nailer

I put it to the test and found it to be a great gun with a great value
5/5

This is my second WEN product (the first was a chainsaw), and both have left me impressed. br>I'm a big fan of brad nails, and this is my fourth one after two Porter Cables and one Hitachi. As a result, I have a lot of experience with them and can compare them. I put this nailer through some rigorous rapid-fire testing and it passed. Continue reading to find out what I thought of the movie. - br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- br NO DISRUPTIONS and CONSTANT DEPTH: Sing 1 was put to the test in a quick fire test. A 2" thick fir is nailed with 5" brad nails. Watch the video for more information. The gun never jammed, and the nails were consistently driven in.
- NAIL SLIDE MADE OF ALL METAL: You might be wondering why this is significant. When a nail jammed in a Hitachi brad nailer, I did the same test as in the video and blew out the bottom of the slide. A section of the slide was blown out during a jam, as shown in the attached photo. I bring this up because the Hitachi's nail slide was plastic, whereas the Wen's is all metal, and I feel much better about the WEN simply removing a jam rather than destroying the nailer.
- EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH 360-DEGREE ROTATION: It's critical to keep the air moving away from you and your work. Please see the image attached. Both for comfort and to prevent excess exhaust oil from getting on a work piece (yes, we all put a few too many drops in now and then). I had to cover the head of another nailer with a rag a few days ago to keep oily air off the work piece because it didn't have an adjustable exhaust. As a result, this feature is critical, and I'm glad the WEN included it.
- WINDOW WITH NAILS LOADED: This is a fantastic option. I can see the nails that are still there with a quick glance.
- HANDLE MADE OF SOFT RUBBER: The handle is very soft, making it easy to hold and protecting your hand from jarring impacts while nailing.
- LEAKED AIR HINT: When I connected my WEN to the air hose, the connection leaked a lot of air. A steel inlet is included in the WEN. I replaced it with a brass inlet that had a slightly different shape (see the attached photo comparing the WEN to the replacement), and the connection was now airtight. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> This is a fantastic nail gun at an excellent price. The only minor flaw was an air leak at the tip, which did not prevent us from giving it a five-star rating. I can't comment on the longevity because I haven't used it yet, but I'll do so after some time. You can't go wrong with it if you buy it.

My Tale of Woe can be found here
3/5

Then make your decision; however, if you want my opinion, continue reading. This was purchased six months ago and has yet to be used. As a result of the wind, Hubby noticed a hole in our garage roof that needed to be repaired right away. A driven rainstorm was expected to arrive in a few hours. I took it out of the box, oiled it up, connected it to our compressor, and gave it a try. We made use of the package's longest brads. br>br>Everything was running smoothly until it got stuck. br>br>Removed a brad remnant from the safety trigger And one from the safety latch that is "screwy. " I double-checked that it worked before attempting to reload with new brads. Isn't it simple enough? The sliding magazine, on the other hand, refused to return to its original position. br>br>Upon closer inspection, I discovered a brad head had become embedded in the upper corner, which I couldn't remove even with the sharpest of knives and SS dental picks. (See photo)br>br>Now that I'm older, I'm still quick enough to get by. Because the magazine would close if it was empty, we decided to use a smaller brad that didn't reach that upper corner. br>br>That, too, failed. br>br>So we had one round of brads with this extremely disappointing POC, and that was the end of it. br>br>My advice is to stay away from this Wen if you need something that will last longer than 5 minutes.

It's cheap and it works
5/5

As we finished the basement, I ordered this low-cost nailer to install baseboard trim. It was easy to connect to our existing air compressor. I purchased the version that included nails, so I didn't have to go out and buy any. It has performed admirably; there have been no snags, and the nails are neatly inserted. I haven't tried it with any other nails yet because the number of long nails it came with was more than enough for this job. It saves a lot of hammering time! br>br> br>br>According to what I've seen out here, about one out of every ten reviewers has a jam, regardless of which nailer they purchase or how much they spend. Regardless of which option I chose, I had a good chance of being in the 90 percentile. And it's not like this is meant to be used on a daily basis in the workplace. This thing should last a long time given the amount of nailing a homeowner is likely to do. So I went with the low-cost model and it worked out well. I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity. br>br>I'm still amused by the fact that every pneumatic nailer has at least one review from someone who is surprised to learn that it requires an air compressor to operate. It's possible that "pneumatic" is a new word to you.

My second Wen purchase, and both have received five stars! UPDATE: I was supposed to give you a more detailed review after I'd had a few weeks to play with my new toy
5/5

I fixed some loose floor trim, a piece of trim on my dinette set, and even built some stands for my chicken feed and water. There are no snags in the system, and it runs smoothly. I'd strongly suggest it! br> I previously owned a Wen generator, which performed admirably, so I decided to give this a shot. You can't beat the price; it has all the power you'll ever need, and it comes with a good supply of nails. I use a small pancake compressor to power it, and that's all the air you'll ever need at home. br> Don't be fooled by the high price; this is everything you'll ever need for your home. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. br>br>.
