Questions & Answers

How different is this gas nailer from the air nailer in terms of nails? Would I be able to use both simultaneously?

My knowledge of this is limited. Kits that contain nails and a gas cylinder are available for purchase.

It's not clear what you mean Do you know if it's included (no mention specific to the charger)?

Hey, hope that answers some of your question(s). Among the tools in the tool kit are This XP Cordless Framing Nailer has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery A lithium-ion battery An array of accessories including a lithium-ion battery charger, rugged carrying case, owner's manual, safety glasses, and a Wrench with hex head

Are galvanized nails going to be shot with this gun?

A galvanized nail is also used as well as a common nail. The idea of ring nails doesn't resonate with me

Powerful tool that will change your life! Amazing product! I can't get enough of it! You shouldn't be concerned about this thing's power if, like me, you're worried about its ability to drive 16s! It is easy to use this to drive nails. Rather than dialing back the power, you need to dial it back As an ex-contractor in this area, I know what you go through. So far, we've driven about 5,000 nails into mostly Douglas fir wood as well as some hard wood (with a mix of 8's and 16's) and we've had no jams. But we have had plenty of mishaps. The fire. It seems misleading, but I do not know what it is about A little bit of fire once in a while, but nearly never jams, which is the best thing about this I guess it runs on fuel for its muscle and a battery for its spark and cooling fan. According to the manufacturer, a fuel cell can hold 1,000 nails. 600), but I still can't complain because this thing is so neat! It's a good idea to charge the battery every day or two, since most of the power comes from the fuel but both are necessary constantly. It has been reported that you can get 9,000 nails per battery charge, which means that 15 fuel canisters are needed. There is certainly nothing wrong with the tool, but the consumables are a bit expensive Prices are reasonable. It seems to be the way it is always, huh? There's no reason why I had to deduct any stars since I knew this going in, and besides, I was reviewing the gun, not the ammunition. My only hope is that competition will drive down the price. Fuel canisters seemed like a hassle at first, but they actually turned out to be quite easy to work with. It doesn't feel like you have to constantly change fuel cells or anything like that. All you have to do is make sure you have a few and they stay functional for a long time. It comes from the fuel where the nail driving power is derived and you can be sure that For about 10 bucks or a bit more, you can find them. Among the 30 power tools I own, I have Milwaukee (which is most of them) and a Dewalt sliding 12" compound mitre saw as well as my black & Decker mitre saw. In my collection of power tools, I have everything from power drills to hammers to blowers to trimmers to saws, and this Paslode cordless nailer is my favorite of them all. There's just no other way to put it! That tool would have been perfect if I had chosen a 20V Max from Dewalt. This is far above what would have happened in that situation. The Dewalt hasn't been used by me, so I can't say for certain, but I'd bet my young daughter In another incident, I recently went about 3 months without using it and I subsequently FORGOT to put the small battery on the charger and, as the universe would have it, I was able to hit the target with the very first nail. And the 2nd, and the 3rd, and so on. The light work day went on for a long time! In spite of just sitting for three months with the fuel cell and battery still inside, I picked it up and it worked as if it were the same day that I picked it up. Do you know how great that is? Do yourself a favor and get The thing I am doing is so much fun, and I'd hate to see you not have the same experience.

It was a waste of time to wait

The pros are With this weight, it feels no heavier than a big framing gun it is powerful and easy to use fuel and nails are loaded fast and easily and it is a rugged tool, already falling off a ladder twice. A quarter of a century later and still working just fine
Fast setup
Neutral- In my opinion, nail magazines are small, requiring frequent reloading, but I wouldn't give up compactness/weight for nail capacity. Fuel exhaust is foul and low quality, but not too bothersome if it's used outdoors in enclosed areas. In the quantities I buy, the price of nails from this gun is almost as much as bulk-bought construction screws, about 2 cents each If you factor in fuel and nails, it comes out to 3 cents apiece. I, however, don't think this is that big of a deal unless you go through a lot of nails a year since this is The cons are You need hearing protection if you use the device in an echoy rough frame, it is very hard As far as decibels go, I don't know if it's louder than a pneumatic. However, the short sharp pops take a lot of energy by the end of the day. The only downside is that you have to buy fuel, which I find somewhat expensive, but I think it's worth it for All in all, this turns out to be an excellent Depending on how long I am going to be framing all day, installing a compressor may be worth the cost, but if the job is quick, or if hoses would be impractical, then this gun is invaluable. The only thing that would have made this a solid 5 would be if the noise could somehow be tuned down without keeping performance at the same level. Buying this long ago would have been a wise decision. It will be interesting to see what else can be done with this tool.

It is a tool that must be used! A few of the many It isn't as fast as the air tools, but it is Using air tools is an excellent alternative

In fact, if I had to improve it, I'd want to be able to carry two racks of nails instead of one. But hey, that's no problem as long as you don't mind carrying It is pretty expensive to use the butane, since you have a tendency to hold things in place with the tip, which releases butane and you therefore end up with fewer nails per canister. However, you can adjust for that fairly Our household uses roughly three cans of butane per day at a price of approximately $11, and it would be nice if the butane was sold in bulk at a cheaper price. You quickly add up the costs at just $0. 00 each!.
