Questions & Answers

How do you recommend this nailer be connected to an air compressor?

You really need to take into account how you're going to use It is your intermittent aiming with the inside and not your imitation of a machine gun If you need to use a small compressor, you can use a pancake. Approximately 70-100 pounds of working pressure is used in the nailer At 115 PSI, it is ideal. The pressure I run mine at is It should be possible to hit that pressure with most portable compressors. A duty cycle is really what we need to ask. You'll need a compressor capable of keeping up with the volume of air you're consuming if your nails are being fired every few seconds, or else you'll have to slow down until the compressor stops before the next nail is fired. My compressors run on 2 different compressors one is a 40 gallon compressor for a shop the other is a 12 gallon compressor for my house. Comparing the CFM to the gun, it is infinite. Compressor 2 is the other one. The CFM is 6. do not rapid fire when I'm using it, and I can set a couple of nails before the compressor starts up. You should be fine as long as you do not keep firing while the compressor is running.

I wonder why it says "often bought with this product" just below the nailer specs. This is a 22 degree nail. Is 20 too young?

It wasn't a problem to use some of the 22 degree. Before this gun, I used Bostich guns for 30 years and now I'm on my second gun from Bostich Any product I've used is as good as this. This nailer does an excellent job

What are the implications of coating the nails with plastic?

Are they coated in plastic? Not at all. I do however believe that the photos must be plastic collated, which means they must be bound together with plastic to prevent them from fraying. The paper collated nails may work, but I am not sure.

Can it be used with any type of nail?

The two brands I have used so far have been different. It does not matter what brand you use, as long as the nails are plastic coated, 21 degree I believe. I have found that harbor freight offers the best price on nails. For about $28, you can buy 2500 nails. For the 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" pieces, I

This is approved by the Dewalt man! There are no reviews done by me
5/5

But I was compelled to do so for this reason. The Dewalt man in me lives and breathes Dewalt. Everything I own is Dewalt, but when I bought the 20-volt nailer it I saw this as well. Reviewers said this was a bad idea, and I agreed with them. It must have been like one of those "as seen on the TV" It will probably end up in the hands of a child as a toy for the price. My Amazon purchase was a result of this. The package was received within two As soon as I opened the box, it was heavy and I knew my arms would be jello at the end of a 16'x16' pool deck project. This is in. I am speechless. NAILS all fit into 1000 3 1/2. There was no jam in 1000. This is what I bought on Amazon (I bought the recommended nails). A flawless counter sunk every nail. This product is built well and is very Everything is made of metal like an old tool from the 70s In the 1980s. We dropped it a few times, it didn't damage, and it works just as well as before. It would be foolish of me not to buy another one just to have, as it's kind of a type-specific price Despite being a Dewalt man, I find this big beast to be a diamond in the rough for a pneumatic framer. You won't find Jello arms here either.

I don't think the materials it requires to make it are worth the time and money
3/5

It can drive nails up to 3+ inches with ease, even though it is heavier than a typical nail gun. This framing nailer has yet to show me any signs of failure. I have put well over 1,500 nails through it. You don't need to be silly and shoot a nail at an insane angle - just be careful! If you do not know whether there is a knot or other obstruction under the nail's path, it can be dangerous! Please, all-- The following are the most recent updates as of The purchase of this nailer without a protection plan is not recommended, especially if it will be fulfilled by Prime Global Products Several different trigger plungers are contained within this plastic trigger plunger My review of the rings was followed shortly by a crack in the rings. Due to the fact that the product was still under warranty, I am downgrading it to a 1. It was a pleasant experience contacting the fulfillment agency. However, handling the entire situation was a disaster. The first thing they did was to send me a part which they said was damaged (the black thing) instead of providing me with information about an authorized repair company locally! I am contacting them in regards to The part I communicated in detail (the white plunger with the o-ring on the end) has been clarified What I needed was a pair of rings! In response, they said that they provided the wrong part just to be on the safe side, but that the correct part would be arriving shortly. There was no sign of it! In my initial contact with them, I asked about having the nailer sent to them for repairs, and they suggested that I send it back at my own expense - which I estimated at around $40. Taking into account that I didn't pay that much more for the nailer when I bought it, I can afford to pay that amount. Become aware of the dangers!.

Your money would be greatly appreciated if you donated it You will spend better money if you do! Unfortunately, there is no way to leave negative reviews

I was blown away and I wasted a lot My order arrived on time, although I had to wait for the first few days before I could use it. After I got to the point where I was going to use it, I was excited because I thought it would make my production time much shorter. As my house is built upon pilings, I just had to build the shed tying it into the existing structure since it will be 20 x 15 in size. I have no problem with it. I loaded up some 3 inch. The galvanized nails mean I can 'fly' through this puppy with no problem! One nail and two The stop button. Make sure there are no jams in the hose by disconnecting it. There is nothing. After reconnecting the hose and hammering in two more nails, it stops again. I gave up trying to toe nail completely after repeating the process twice and getting the same result. My attempt to shoot nails at a 90 degree angle was pointless if I wasn't trying to do it. My first reaction was to put my gun away, thinking that I must be On day two, the same results were achieved. Then rephrase it It was a waste of time reading the instructions, there was no information about troubleshooting. In the company's view, lubricating the gun can resolve all problems Framing done by hand. I would have spent more time connecting and disconnecting the gun if I would have used the gun to finish the framing. Given that I'm a bit stupid (or stupid), I thought I'd try it out the 'old fashioned way. For this session, I used nails that had a 2 1/2 inch length. In the case of the T This siding has 111 joints. We don't use toe-nailing or any other fancy stuff when shooting 90 degrees. I am surprised, I am surprised, two nails stopped me. My neighbor has been using a 15 year old rusty Hitachi gun that he uses almost daily on construction sites, and instead of using the gun as a hammer, I decided to borrow his. I was able to complete the rest of the project without any trouble. Do not disconnect from the computer I did not have to use gallons of oil when I reconnected the hose dance, just I could have gotten the Hitachi at the local big box, but I thought I would give this a shot and save a few dollars. NuMax owes me big time if time is money.
Be smart and spend the extra money (or borrow from your neighbors) and your blood pressure will thank you for it.

Despite its low price, this gun is of high quality
5/5

I waited several months to review it so I could see how well it held up under fairly heavy loading. There is much to be pleased with In my experience, I have shot more than 1500 nails through this gun with only a few hiccups. Since I do not need a bump trigger, I have not tried it however, I have shot every nail size this gun can shoot without any problems. As well as being easy to disassemble and swap triggers, this air rifle also features an adjustable exhaust. The adjustable exhaust is really helpful. Here are some of the "bad" things This is a very light use of the word bad. On average, the gun double fires or shoots blanks on about one in every seven My gun is regularly oiled and cleaned and I hold the gun at the recommended PSI, yet I'm still not a bad shooter. As an added disadvantage, this gun tends to be a little heavy and large in comparison to other guns, which can be a little inconvenient after firing nails for hours. All complaints are basically minor (students shown in pictures are 16 on center for comparison). In terms of price, however, this rifle does not offer much more. It is no real loss to buy questionable quality guns at a local chain store, as they will cost 20% more. (Note

) This review is that of someone not employed as a professional contractor and therefore I do not use this gun on a daily basis.
