Questions & Answers

Can this be used with a pancake compressor that has a cfm of 2 and a 6 gal tank? What is the use of 6 for building ?

The same air compressor I used to build the shed, a 3 gal Coleman air compressor, has a nail gun with the same type of nail. We did not have a problem

Is 14 ounces really enough weight for the nailer alone? How much weight is 5 pounds?

Thanks for getting in touch, Craig. There is no weight limit on the nailer, but up to 14 lbs for There must be a total weight of 5 lbs for the nailer in its This is my second Freeman nailer, and I cannot praise it enough. They provide a great value for the money!

The Freeman 2190 has a spike tip for better toenailing, right?

There is a spike tip on it. When the compression clamp is removed, the rubber protector will simply pop off. The gun has been in my possession for five months or so now, and so far I have been happy with its performance.

There is a discrepancy between nail diameter and nail length stated in the listing. Racks are designed to be used with. Do you have nails that are 148" long?

Selected User Reviews For Freeman PFR2190 Pneumatic 21 Degree 3-1/2" Full Round Head Framing Nailer with Case Ergonomic and Lightweight Nail Gun with Interchangeable Trigger, Tool-Free Depth Adjust, and No Mar Tip, Black

The tool is wonderful, and the price is very good! First time purchasing a compressed air tool, and I did a lot of research on whether I should get one or not
5/5

How could I have thought of that? I am currently building a shed, and I honestly can't imagine doing it without this tool. You don't want to be hammering in each nail by hand! If you are performing any framing work, you should utilize There is no doubt in my mind that you will never While I wasn't familiar with the Freeman brand, I found Amazon to be useful in my research. I selected this product due to the reviews on www. com, since it was around the lower-price range Prices are at the middle end of the A review of this book caught my eye, and I decided to purchase it The warranty of one year and the case it comes with are very appealing. When it comes to my tools, I really take care of them, and I would not consider buying something like this without a case to protect it As a result, a majority of the competition was eliminated. My reader commented on the design of the tool in one of the reviews I read. The tool has to look good as well as do its job is the same philosophy as mine. It was incredible to see the tool once I opened the shipping box and noticed the case it arrived in. A few Allen screws and a tiny oil delivery device were provided with the tool, so it sat snugly in the case along with the Allen screws and the oil (you use the oil to instill a few drops in the air intake of the tool before each use). This tool has a fine appearance and is well-made This is a very nice looking product made with excellent craftsmanship. We now turn to utilizing Honestly, I didn't expect it to be as big as it is. Because I have never used one of these, I was expecting a tool about the size of a It is about 50% larger than before! I also found it to be quite heavy (about 8 pounds). The weight is five pounds. It won't be an issue. Despite my size, I no problem with the weight at 5' 5" and 160 lbs. Just finished constructing the floor of my shed with this wonderful tool, and wow, did it ever perform wonderfully! These are just those 3" nails that are driven in by a soft-hitting tool You sound like a poof! A simple turn of the adjusting screw allows you to adjust the depth of the nail. A guard is on the nozzle of the tool when it is delivered to prevent damage to the material that is being worked on. I find this to be a very nice feature, but it seems to diminish the driving power a little bit. It isn't necessary to use it if you're not concerned about scratching the surface. Rather than just directing the exhaust straight forward, you can direct it at any angle around 360 degrees as well. In order to use this tool, you will need a compressor if you are not used to compressed air tools. Buying the book was an easy decision for me.

Using a PSI of 120 will not reliably sink three inches, three quarter inches, and three fifth inches
3/5

In the event that the PFR2190 is unable to sink 3" or longer. Then what's the point? If you have 131 nails, what's the point? According to the instructions, I used a few drops of oil, but it didn't Even at 120 PSI, this nailer does not have enough power to do what I need. I own a couple other Freeman products, so I really wanted to like it. Since the pressure is only 120 pounds per square inch, I am not willing to risk serious injury by pushing it past its maximum rating. As long as it is under 3" tall it will work, so I gave it a 3 star *kd *br*.

Nailer of great quality
5/5

In the past few months, I've used this nailer to construct a large portion of my wind-damaged roof In both situations, it has worked well. I've used it to repair an old fence and to remodel my basement. The adjustment was dialed in after I played with it a bit. You only need to get the adjustment nailed down once you have both nail types covered! You just need a few nails and a little patience to nail it in correctly, regardless of whether it's wood or nails. Before I settled on this model, I tried other name brand models from HD. Nevertheless, having it all day is an issue due to the light weight, but it is only by a few ounces that they differ from one another. There is no doubt that this is not a major I felt the same way about the other ones I played with. This is nice because it comes with a storage case (and a small bottle of oil) which is not found in the other name brands. While the storage case may not be of much concern to some, I like to keep my air tools stored somewhere when I'm not using them. Having no hanging hook isn't a deal breaker for me, but I do wish it had one.

Excellent value for the money
4/5

In general, this nailer is very good value for money. Loading and maintaining this machine are simple. There is no mystery in how it works. While the nailer works fine I do have a few minor issues This is one of the areas the manual is silent on. It doesn't say that the plastic tip can be removed to reveal the metal claws when you want to install toenail studs. It took me a few days before I realized this. I had to struggle to get there. There will be times when this thing double fires. Some shooters will have two triggers (maybe about 1/20th of the time). They provide two triggers for you This is supposed to be a single fire trigger, and the other is for using the nailer at a distance or by holding the trigger down and pushing down on the surface to fire. I have the single fire trigger, but I experience some issues. I've assumed that the recoil release requires the collar to reengage, and then the nailer fires as if the other trigger were held Despite the fact that it is not dangerous, the process is As others have mentioned, I'll end by saying this. Regardless of the fact that there are two nails, the nailer will not fire The nails are still loaded on 3 of them. The fact that it doesn't fire every nail is a little odd.

However, the value is not great
4/5

Customer service is excellent when it comes to warranty. I wish I was not in need of The device quit working after only a short period of use. One day service was provided. They replaced the dried out oil once it was received An engagement ring. The grease on the o-ring should be lubricated after each use in order to keep it running smoothly I like how it sounds. I have mainly been disappointed by the poor quality of its feed. It worked flawlessly with the same nails when I used a rigid. If you are a heavy user, I would not recommend paper collated nails because they are hard to fine. I guess for occasional home use it is ok, but not particularly recommended for frequent use. Home Depot's rigid board surprised me since I really liked it.

This nailer has served me well for five years now
5/5

I have owned it for five years and I am very satisfied with it. Unlike traditional nail guns, it does not have problems setting nails below the surface. My experience isn't as a carpenter or anything like that, just as The product has been a great help to me when building two decks and a few sets of stairs. Unlike the other reviews, I am not familiar with the problem discussed above, as the one I have is working perfectly. This company has given me great service for a relatively low price, and I am confident it will continue to provide excellent service. I encountered an issue with the trigger yesterday. In the process of trying to fix it, I lost a few components and was not able Hence, I returned to my work bench and figured out how to put something back together, but I still couldn't fix it. Here is the e-mail I sent Due to the fact that it was after hours, please send it to Freeman tools. The trigger assembly will be sent to me this morning as a response to my email this morning. As for me, that is good customer service. If I need a similar tool again, I will check Freeman out.
