Happy to hear this Here are a few positives It is low cost, well-built, easy to load, fast, powerful and light. The negatives are as follows It took some time to learn how to prevent double nails There will be loud noises The following information is provided HD rents this model over a cheaper one, so I bought it instead of a cheaper model. Buying was cheaper than renting (long time doing it after work Over the weekend). There was one jam on the entire roof that could easily be There was no need to redo the simple depth adjustment more than We used Bostitch nails for the nails As soon as they arrived, they began firing. This is what the learning curve looks like My muscles had to be trained to hold it firmly and not let go Be very careful when it comes to downsizing Movement in the upward direction. This is no big deal.
Currently using it to roof a newly constructed shed and on a remodel project on the house. There is no reason not to buy new - It is an easy choice to buy a new one on Craigslist, use it for a few days and resell it later for top dollar when buying a used one for less money than renting one for more than a couple of days I expected nothing less from a new Bostitch, and it worked perfectly. There have never been any misfires, and loading is super easy with the flip open gun- A piece of time is worth a piece of money. The benefits of owning a brand new nailer that doesn't have to be gotten used to or rebuilt to work correctly made it worth the expenditure for.
After I got a new box, I figured it might be the nails, but it still didn't work. There's nothing wrong with the other nail guns. These fine guns are no longer the bar but they used to be.
In the past, I've borrowed roofing nailers, but building a shed made me realize that it was time for me to own one. This is the one I chose to read reviews about. There was a $30 discount compared to the sale price at Menards in my area. In spite of anything the working air pressure, nail depth setting, technique, or level of oiling, the thing would double fire nails by driving the first nail into the first one and then driving the second just 1/4 of the way into the second one. In an attempt to correct it, I did everything I could. One of the only things that worked was to hold the trigger and bump fire it, however it is difficult to nail accurately consistently without long periods of holding. I would even have to use a hammer to follow up on this, because the nails wouldn't always fully seat with the deep setting and 120 psi You can get this kind of performance with a harbor freight nailer for $80. It's time to get real, man! They should be a bargain considering the cost of these nailers! Currently, I have a Max CN445R3 in its place. Reviewers seem to be very happy with this product. After a trial period, I will post my thoughts on it.
After working with my son for a few hours today - A contractor reroofed his house, saving the legal officer $6,000 in labor and profits In addition to this nailer, I also bought a Makita so that both of us could be nailing at the same time. The Bostitch performed far better than the Makita, which often double fired and jammed multiple times. While I am a Makita fan and have a lot of their tools, I do not see any Makita roofing nailers that are competitive with other brands.
I have borrowed and rented Bostitch roof guns in the past. But this year, I plan to hire a roofer for a few roof projects, so I decided to own For this project, I chose to use As a first point, the price was reasonable and the process was familiar to me. but I wasn't ready to use it. I opened the box and took a brief look at it, but then unpacked it and put it back. This week I will embark on my first project and since the compressor was already out and operational, I decided to make use of it. Thanks to you, it did not work. There was just a light air noise and nothing else. As it turned out, I exchanged the mug and it arrived Sunday afternoon, just in time for me to add the I'm going to have to improve my technique because this gun has a contact tip, so you hold the trigger and press it to the surface to fire. You need to use a bouncing motion to fire it. Seven thousand five hundred square feet is what I have. The distance is around 15 feet. Since I have a large amount of roof to put down, I will have plenty of opportunity to practice. I seem to remember that the guns I used in the past had sequential tips that you held down the tip and squeezed and it shot a single You can not do that with this gun since it double fires.
After I got it out, I oiled it and tried using it, but it would not sink even a fraction of an inch comfortably The nails are HD galvanized and measure 3/4" in length. Upon finding that there had been a recall on it, I sent it back to Ridgid (one world technologies). I picked up this nailer from amazon, because I also own the bostich strapshot and the cap siding nailer, both of which I love. As soon as it was out of the box, a little bit of oil was applied and the thing went straight to work nailing things in. The first time I tried to put in about 3 squares, it jammed. The gun wasn't to blame for the jam, because upon opening the magazine, I noticed that the nails in the coil were bent (the coil was found on the bottom layer of the box and may have been bent due to Because this gun came with the air hose adapter, I'm not sure if it was new or refurbished, or if it was just resold because Bostich guns never come with adapters like this one already had. It looked as though the packaging had just arrived. There was only one thing I wanted it to have, and that was to come with a case like my other Bocich.
