Questions & Answers

Is there a battery and charger included with this unit?

Yes, the CMCN618C1 comes with a single battery as well as a single charger.

Is it possible to use this tool with the Matrix system's Black and Decker 20-volt battery?

I have a lot of Craftsman and Black and Decker 20V Max tools in my collection. This could be different, but the ones I have work with both types of batteries. DeWalt and Porter Cable, on the other hand, have a similar appearance but are not physically compatible.

Is it possible to use this to secure a wall panel to a discarded shipping pallet? I'm in the process of constructing a bar. Thanks?

Yes, of course. I use this one on a daily basis for my projects, such as shiplap, pallets, plywood, crown molding, and so on. Just make sure you get the right nail size and you're good to go!

Is it possible to use a DeWalt battery?

No, only the CRAFTSMAN battery should be used with the CMCN618C1.

It's simple to trim your floors! To begin, I'd like to state that I'm a Milwaukee fan who believes that their tools are unbeatable
5/5

We received $200 in Amazon gift cards for Christmas and used them to redo the floor in our bedroom, so this Craftsman ended up in my toolbox. We needed a nailer, and I was tempted to go with a Milwaukee because I already had the batteries, but the bare tool was more than $300. It was simply too expensive for my tastes, so I went looking for something similar. When I saw this nailer, I knew it was the one after reading the reviews. br>br>I've only got good things to say about it now that I've used it. Craftsman is reputed to make high-quality power tools, but I've never used one. Craftsman produces high-quality tools, as I can now attest. I still prefer Milwaukee and will continue to do so, but Craftsman has won me over for tools that Milwaukee simply does not offer. br>br>This nailer has a lot of power, and it didn't jam on us once while driving all the nails flush. We didn't even use a full bar of the battery, so it was more than enough for our needs. This is a product that I strongly suggest.

Installing mouldings is a breeze with this tool
5/5

With no jams, I was able to install 150 feet of baseboard molding in 5 hours.

Despite the fact that it shouldn't, it does 16 and 18
5/5

The link that said "frequently bought together" turned out to be 18 gauge nails, which disappointed me. I didn't realize it was a 16-nail gun until it was too late. I tried their 18 gauge nails because I had the option of returning it. It had the desired effect. I had no trouble shooting about 30 18-gauge nails. My carpenter has a battery gun that makes a lot of noise, like a gunshot, and it reloads even louder, but this one doesn't. The nail is inserted where the depth is set with a single pop. It's similar to a silenced semi-automatic pistol. The task has been completed with a pop, pop, pop.

It's quite effective
5/5

In my home, I'm going to replace all of the baseboards and casings - during the coming months I could have used my air-powered brad nailer if I had wanted to - But, because it was such a pain and made so much noise, I decided to give it a shot. After failing to find it in a local Home Improvement store, I decided to make my own. They'd all been snapped up - This one was purchased on Amazon. br>br>It's been a huge success - There was no jamming or other issues when I used 1 - Brads, 5 and 2 inches - with no problems. br>br>For something that is simple to use and transport - This is a nice piece, but it's not light. in comparison to one powered by air - I don't use it for 8 hours a day, though. only once in a while - as I progress through the house - Taking it one room at a time is the best way to go.

This is an excellent tool
5/5

I adore you so much. This is an excellent resource. Easy and quick to do. I'm so pleased that after tiling, I was able to get it to finish 1/4 round. After a long day of tiling, I was planning on paying someone to do it, but this is almost as enjoyable. It was well worth the effort. The price was very reasonable, and I've already used it to complete another project for my wife without having to purchase and store a compressor.

This is a fantastic way to save time
5/5

This nailer performed exactly as I had hoped. I was dreading working on a large trim project for a remodel. However, with the addition of this nailer, there are no more cords to tangle with, plenty of power, and it's simple to load. The only minor drawback was that using the extended battery, which is larger, gave your wrist a workout after using it horizontally on base boards and shoe moulding for an extended period of time. However, it was tolerable and resulted in a 50% reduction in installation time. Bravo!.

For DIY use, I'm very pleased with it
5/5

After hand-nailing all of the trim in the living room, I gave in and ordered this for the kitchen trim and beyond. The job is no longer as enjoyable as it once was due to bad eyes and arthritis. Yes, I realize it isn't a top-of-the-line nailer, but the price and value are exceptional. So far, I haven't had any problems with it and have used it to shoot a lot of 2" brads. If I were a professional trim carpenter, I'd choose the Milwaukee, but as a DIYer with a few more rooms to remodel, I'm thrilled!.

Longest brads cause problems
4/5

Except for the longest permissible length, it works well with all brad sizes. I've tried a few different brands and have had the same results every time. Clears easily, but failure occurs after 8 to 10 of the longest allowed brads; I've tried two different brands with no difference in the failure rate of long brads. The nailer, on the other hand, is something I enjoy using. Our remodel is going well; It's also preferable to having my compressor nearby and frightening everyone when it starts up unexpectedly.
