Questions & Answers

Is there a dry-fire capability with this gun? Is there a lockout due to a fire?

Unless the gun is pressed against a surface, it will not fire. If you run out of nails, however, it will continue to fire. That is something you must keep an eye on.

Is there a case included with this nailer? Thanks. ?

Yes. I received a sturdy plastic moulded case with the Max NF255F/18 Brad Nailer that I purchased. Cheers. Peter.

Is it possible to use Scenco nails in this nail gun?

Yes. Spotnails, Senco, Hitachi, Porter Cable, and Grey nails are all accepted by this gun. I have yet to come across a nail that does not work.

So far, he's done a great job
5/5

In our production trim business, we have a variety of 18 gauge nailers. This is the first one that consistently drives nails to the proper depth and leaves a clean, non-puckering small hole in mdf without causing us any issues. This gun fires between 5,000 and 10,000 two-inch nails per week. It's still working fine after a few months and hasn't caused any issues. We will retire our remaining Hitachi, Ridgid, and Bostitch guns if this gun performs well for a few more months. One nice feature of this gun is that it will shoot any type of nail you run through it quickly and without problems. The Bostitch guns will leave a clean hole and drive to a consistent depth, but if you use anything other than Porter Cable or Bostitch nails, you'll run into a slew of issues. Given that generic nails can be ordered online for less than half the price, this gun will quickly pay for itself. br>br>Update: We've had these nailers for a couple of years now. We now have four of these guns, which have replaced Hitachi, Bostitch, Rigid, Paslode, and Senco guns. One thing we've noticed is that it takes a few hundred shots for these guns to start sinking nails consistently. I've seen sparks come out of the nose and been hit with small pieces of shrapnel from a new gun, so it appears that the passage for the nails in the nose is a little tight. After a few hundred nails, the sparks fade and the nails begin to set evenly. To get the driver deeper, we remove the plastic nose tips as well. (file the nose piece's sharp edges) We've only had one broken driver after hundreds of thousands of shots, countless drywall screws, and multiple falls from ladders, countertops, and other heights. They're not perfect, but they're the best we've found for what we do so far.

These are extremely effective, well-made, and dependable

This pinner is planning on doing assembly work with making cabinets, boxes, and jigs and such, I'll glue everything but this is a very good way to clamp thins together while the glue dries, I like MAX nailers I bought the construction stapler years ago and it has always worked great, this pinner in planning on doing assembly work with making cabinets, boxes, and jigs and such, I'll glue everything but this is a very good way to clamp thins together while I really like how this is put together and how well it works.

The gun has a cheap feel to it
3/5

The gun has a cheap feel to it. When the nails ran out, the anti-fire feature stopped working right away. Also, the switch that toggles between rapid and single fire is always set to rapid, and the anti mare nose had to be removed in order to sink the nails properly.

The best Brad Nailer on the market, as well as everything else
5/5

Brad Nailer is the best on the market, as are all of their Nailers. I especially like their 15 ga finish nailer and framing nailer, both of which I own! I've tried them all, but their finish nailer 15 ga is the only one that sinks nails into 3/4-inch hard hardwood flooring like Brazilian cherry and Tiger wood.

It's a solidly cool game, but it's a ta This was purchased to replace a Hitachi that had worn out
4/5

To a solid, well-made tool with a few useful features. However, I had to turn up the pressure on my air compressor to get this gun to drive inch and a half nails into the cabinets' maple crown molding. Even though the pressure on my air compressor was set to 120 PSI, which was well above the gun's recommended pressure range, several nails were left protruding. I also had the opportunity to test this gun on pine stock, and it easily drove two-inch nails even when the pressure was reduced to 90 psi, as it should be.

It's a great gun, but I have one complaint
4/5

I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet, but it has a solid feel to it and shoots better than the Bostitch and Senco models I've previously owned. My only gripe is that it continues to fire even when the nails are exhausted, whereas the Bostitch does not. fire.

MAX, you are welcome
5/5

This was the first time I'd heard of this company. My first time using one was when I rented one to do some housework. I was blown away by it and decided to purchase one for myself. This model is both newer and better than the one I rented. After going through boxes upon boxes of finishing nails, I haven't encountered a single snag. It was well worth the money I spent.
