Questions & Answers

When you say voltage, what does that mean?

A voltage of 765 kV is used, and two Siemens &amp Co. power plants provide electricity. Alternators from Halske with a 30 hp (22 kW) output, 2 kV input at 120 Hz and 200 series-connected filaments I connected Gaulard 2 with Gaulard 3 The following voltage rating is for 20 kV I'm doing it step-by-step Each trigger is provided with a down transformer with a closed magnetic circuit. Please accept my sincere thanks for your assistance.

Do I have to purchase anything else (a battery) in order to use it? Can I get some help with power tools since I know nothing about them?

I appreciate you writing ACME Tools. In return, I will be writing you back. Since the DWFP12231 Brad Nailer is a pneumatic tool, you will need to use an air compressor and a hose with In addition to that, this device is easy to use and straight forward.

When has a brad nailer been made of 18 gauge and when has a finishing nailer been made of 16 gauge? Are you telling me that I need to build a bookcase, trim, put in flooring, and build decking?

Finish nails are made of a heavier gauge wire, while brad nails are made from finer wire, 16 or 15 gauge. *br>Finish nails are best for mounting large crown or baseboard trim, brad nails are suitable for installing smaller trim to reduce visible imperfections. After the nails are nailed, finish up the work.

Does anyone know where I can find an air compressor that can power the Can I buy larger tools if I don't know a lot about them and don't want to buy larger than I ?

It is possible to run three of these nailers with a Husky 4 gallon portable. think I spent $250 on it. I'm pretty sure it's quiet around here. The cost of each of these is less than that of a battery-operated watch

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND READING BEFORE PURCHASING
3/5

This is garbage. Worked for 3 months but then stopped after a light use period of 3 months. A piston ring failed and the nails got stuck in the nailer. I found that the piston sealer ring was brittle and cracked when I disassembled the engine. Previous reviews said that this nailer wouldn't retract, which is exactly what happened to mine. I refuse to pay to ship it to DeWalt for repair since this is an obvious defect, and one which is obvious to the company since so many similar complaints have been made. In spite of their claims of reliability and satisfaction with the quality of their products, DeWalt refuses to stand behind their claims. Having called customer service three times, the first three times I was on hold for over 45 minutes before I hung up. I will not buy DeWalt products in the future, and if I had to, I would think twice before getting them. When I left my number a couple of weeks ago, I was told that I would still get a callback "without losing my place in line. " However, almost two hours later, I did not hear back. I have updated Just a month after purchasing the first one, I bought a second one. Both had the same problems. My second attempt at taking it apart found the same damage as the first. I contacted DeWalt for the second time to receive My next purchase of DeWalt will NOT be from them.

The reason it's yellow is because it is lemon flavored

The purpose of this is to face nail and tongue nail some bamboo rows on the end where my 18 gauge flooring nailer will not fit, and to reinstall the baseboard moldings. would be the best word to describe this situation. To give you an idea, I tested DeWalt nails, GripRite nails, and Porter Cable nails, ranging from 1 1/4" In the first place, we have these issues I was able to sink the nails 1/8 of an inch deep no matter what depth I set. As long as you run the recommended minimum pressure of 70 psi and moderate tool pressure to keep the work tight before nailing, you'll be fine. Even then you may not be able to pull out a nail! The second issue I would like to discuss is It happens quite often that I catch the nail with my finger when I'm nailing, only to find a nice small hole left in my work. The same thing over I find this to be very frustrating! If I used 2 inch nails for baseboard installation, I would find the stud, shoot the nail, and find that the baseboard did not lock I miss the stub by just a hair, I guess. After moving the baseboard about half an inch to the right, firing again, the baseboard still wasn't Another time I've missed the stud. Honestly, I don't even know what to think. It used to be easy for me to do The hole for the first hole has been moved about a half inch left, so this time I'm sure to hit the stud. I fired the nail, but the baseboard is It's an Arrghh! I get down to the ground to take a closer look and find three nice holes in my stained pine baseboard, with no nails anywhere to be seen. The nail magazine might be of interest to you. It contained the complete strip, with the magazine locked tightly inside, I think this will be the fourth hole, let's close it up. Oh my gosh. I FINALLY HIT IT ON THE HEAD. I am thrilled to be here! You've got to be kidding me, really! One nail needs to be drilled 4 times, which is a lot of extra work. Having ordered a replacement, let's see what happens with that one as well.

My favorite brand of tools is the Dewalt brand
3/5

They work great most of the time and they are my favorites. Choosing dewalt tools is my preferred brand of tools because they work with my hands the majority of the time and are generally my preferred brand of tools. This tool was no exception when it came to my first usage. In general, I find this one to be a lot better than my old I'm giving this tool a 2 star review because while I'm in the middle of a project the oring on the cylinder of this tool broke. I use this tool moderately and expect a higher standard from DeWalt.

Whenever it works, it's a great idea
3/5

My new molding is damaged when this drill doesn't fire repeatedly, so it is light weight and does a good job until it doesn't. There is no way to unjam it or remove the brads, they are also dewalt brads and they are correctly installed. When it works again, it will take a while to do so. As far as the brad nailer is concerned, I already own one. To keep my molding intact, I chose one that would not damage it. It was a bit of wishful thinking on my part, We used a psi of 100 to sink them when it worked, which worked very effectively. Getting a nice tool to work with was on my mind. I would like this brad nailer to fulfill that need.

A small amount of air leaked on the The only reason that I gave one star to this nailer was its excellent fast I noticed that the zip tie that the Dewalt boxes always come with was missing when I pulled the carry box from the plastic sleeve
3/5

When I hooked up my air hose to the nailer, air escaped from the front part of the tool immediately. In order to check whether or not it would actually fire brads, I got to shooting. Although it shot them, I had to turn on my small compressor after each brad I drove because I was losing so much air. I was not planning to buy Dewalt brad nailers, because they are exactly the same and use the same model numbers. Because this nailer was backed by a much better warranty compared to others, I thought it was worth a shot. The brad nailers I have usually used from Bostitch don't last more than two or three years before they need to be rebuilt, and a damaged one is nearly as expensive to replace as Previously, I experienced premature failure of two Bostitch 18 gauge staple nailers and this was my third premature failure of a Brad nailer. The other Dewalt power tools that I've used have all been excellent, but I can't recommend the pneumatic brads or staplers they offer. It's time for me to return this nailer for a refund. The brand I will purchase will be different.

Despite its durability, the product is not long-lasting
3/5

My product was purchased 7 months ago, but I have only used it three times so far. The trigger will not reset once it has started working during some trimming. Dewalt 1 is the number I called Call 800-466- I am 433-633 They sent a mailing label to send the unit to a service center after initially taking my call at 9258 and responding fairly quickly. Thirty minutes after the label was removed, it still wasn't there. When I checked my cell phone, I saw they had called and asked me to call them back since the representative forgot to ask me My attempts to contact them have lasted 30 minutes so far, and I have been told that the call cannot be handled at this time. I have also tried their chat line and have been waiting for 25 minutes for a response. was of poor quality and the service was also not great.

Dewalt products are among my favorite brand, so I bought this product based on reviews
3/5

After reading the reviews, I decided to buy this unit as I like DeWalt A strip of brads shortened the life of the first one after about three. There is no way to reset the trigger. My Amazon experience was great and I was given another Dewalt once I received the replacement. However, I was disappointed when the dewalt stopped working after about three brad strips with the SAME issue. This is the second time I've returned to Amazon in the past six years and Amazon has always made the process simple. Several more brad nails will be purchased, but they will not all be Dewalts.
