In short, yes. To use 21 gauge nails, they need
There is little to no marking from the brads, less than 1/16". In the event that you are going to glue the part, then a pin will work well. The adhesive and brads are two of my favorite things to use.

I am a stair builder and I also built stairs- As a finish carpenter, I have the Cadex 21 gauge and the 18 gauge Omer pinners but wanted a smaller hole for a pre-drilled hole so that it would have more holding power My painted crown molding project would take forever to complete and I have discovered that I would only be able to give it 1) The tip of the driver head cannot be inserted deeply enough into the nylon tip, which causes the 50mm long pins to not be countersunk
2) Misfires 3-2 I got jammed 4 times on the first clip used
3) I was jammed twice within a three clip span. 4) I am left handed and underwent an adjustment to the belt hook to make it fit the other way around. I had to custom inlet a notch into the plastic systemainer insert to accept the gun, but it still protrudes a bit making it difficult to close. The protective nylon tips are of a flawed design if not carefully inserted, they will tear off and it is actually very difficult to put them on correctly.
6) Bottle opener. What's the reason? The remedy is Having removed the protective tip caps, I ground down the safety tip and pushed it back to engage the trigger, then inserted the spring between the trigger and part #23 trigger bumper to disable the safety, then milled part number #32 to complete the machining. This gun works for me now. It's possible to use the safety if needed, but I never use it since the polished nose works perfectly without cracking most surfaces. I lowered the guide plate and nose to allow the driver to protrude enough to set the 50mm pins properly. It is a good idea to spray a dry lubricant on both sides of the magazine where the pins move. Stay tuned for further updates of my research, but for now, I am happy with how it performs.
I only had to add a piece of plastic to protect the magazine release lever, because every time I hung the gun on my belt, I accidentally depressed the lever and ejected the magazine. After this simple modification, this is my go-to pistol on a daily basis.
With this nail gun, you can apply moldings in hardwood stain grade material, sand them, stand them, and finish them without needing to fill in the holes. I like that these nails are a little more robust than 23 gauge and have more holding power.
This nailer is awesome. Worked really well on the finish of the cabinetry and the trim of interiors. Please take note Please follow the manufacturer's instructions on reducing the air pressure to the nailer in order to achieve the best result.
No pin nails are present in the gun, and the gun does not hammer.
I enjoyed using it.
I'm doing the finish work and do not have to. Nailer of great quality. You will not need to caulk or fill nail holes when you do finishing work The difference is barely noticeable. It is a good product made by Cadex.
The door trim worked great when it came to putting it up. I love it. The door trim worked great when it came to putting it up.
