What happened to the mlarevo 1836- Is it possible to get a 110 lathe?

Taiwan is where I got my lathe from. I believe it is the best value for money of any lathe on the market. On YouTube, I've noticed that this lathe is used by a lot of top woodturners. I have the 220V model and am very pleased with it.

Is the 1. Is a five-horsepower motor capable of turning large bowls? I've previously squandered money on phony clams, so if you have a 1. Please let me know if you have a 5 horsepower engine. ?

I have the 110 V version and haven't had any power issues yet. I use it on the lower speed belt setting to turn large bowls off the end of the lathe. As long as your tools are sharp and you're using quality tooling to begin with, you should have no problems. I recommend Carter and Son Tooling because at the price point, it's the best you can get and the company and customer service are top notch. I also recommend the bed extension with tool rest and tail stock height extension, which is available as a kit and costs around $400 more.

A high-quality lathe at an affordable price! I've had my Revo 1836 for about a month and I'm really pleased with it
5/5

Since receiving it, I've used it for about a dozen projects and have had a fantastic time with it. Because I primarily turn salt and pepper mills, I placed a high value on high-quality headstock bearings with no runout and a solid tailstock with plenty of quill travel when shopping for a new lathe. This lathe fulfilled both of those requirements and was a pleasure to use. br>br>Things I really enjoy:br>1. The induction motor operates at a very low noise level. It's the fan spinning that makes the noise you hear from the motor.
2. The power is delivered in a smooth and consistent manner. During heavy cuts, the Delta VFD compensates by giving the motor more power to keep the chisel load constant.
3. With the optional bed extension, you can have a sliding headstock for smaller work areas and a 32" turning capacity.
4. The LCD display is bright and the speed controls are simple to use.
5. The belt can be changed from low to high speed in a matter of seconds without the use of any tools.
6. Tailstock and quill are incredibly strong. With both a full cone and a cup, the included live center is of high quality and versatile. point in the middle
7. The banjo is long and low-profile, and the tool rest is offset from the banjo, which is incredibly thoughtful on Laguna's part because it allows you to use a short tool rest even if the banjo can't fit between the work and the bed due to the offset. What I don't care for:br>1. To keep the headstock's spindle lock engaged, you must keep it pressed in. You can use the spindle indexing system to lock the spindle, but I think I'll make a piece of plastic with magnets and a spacer to hold the button in place so I can remove my chucks with both hands free and not worry about forgetting about the indexing system. The position of the tailstock locking lever has also been changed on the lathe. br>br> The locking lever was located on the back of the tailstock, beneath the light bracket that Laguna includes with the lathe. This was inconvenient, and I kept hitting the bracket with my arm. By removing and reinserting the two e-clips, I was able to move the lever to the front of the tailstock. The lever has clips. I drilled and tapped a 1/4-inch hole in the included lever stop to move it to the front of the tailstock when I moved the tailstock locking lever to the front. 20 hole. br>br>Overall, a fantastic machine; I got it on sale for under $2,500, and after a month of use, it feels like a great deal. Any day of the week, I'd choose this lathe over any JET, NOVA, or Grizzly lathe at a comparable price point.

This lathe is powerful and sturdy, and it comes with a slew of useful features
4/5

However, it does have some flaws; mine arrived with a large gouge in the ways, which is not something you want to see in your brand new expensive lathe, but after carefully moving and unpacking the extremely heavy package, there was no way I was returning it. Oh, and there's another thing: this was delivered by a uhaul truck full of random dudes who couldn't figure out how to unload it. Fortunately, a neighbor came over with a forklift, but these two guys were completely useless. The paths are made of steel, not stainless steel, which is a pain to use. And the lathe is too low for me; I'm 6 feet tall, and I had to spend half a day making leg extensions. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic lathe, but there are a few things I'd like to see improved, and I'm disappointed it arrived damaged.

This is an amazing lathe
5/5

This machine exceeded my expectations; the only thing that could make it better for me is if it had a 2 horsepower motor. I have a bad habit of putting too much pressure on things, and with a 1. I'm able to stop a 5hp motor. But the good news is that it reminds me not to push myself too hard, so it's probably more beneficial than harmful. This machine is fantastic!!.
