Mine, on the other hand, does not. The more expensive, larger models may be able to do so.
It appears to be very accurate on mine, as far as I can tell.

I really like this lathe. I've never owned a lathe before, and this one is ideal for a beginner or intermediate user. It fulfills all of my requests and then some. br>br>I've been using it for about three months and have had no problems with it. The lathe has a lot of power for its size, and it's just a great setup in general. From pens to goblets and lidded jars, he could turn anything. Variable speed is a fantastic feature. For the most part, I set the belt to the middle speed option and use the dial to adjust the speed. The only feature this lathe lacks is reverse. When I'm sanding, I can use my hand to turn the lathe in the opposite direction and feel where the wood isn't as smooth. br>br>Overall, this is an incredible lathe. I'd buy it again if I needed to, but hopefully I won't have to!.
This lathe is a huge hit with my husband. Even though he's new to woodturning, his first project (a turned seam ripper for me) turned out beautifully. He enjoys it and has discovered a new interest. This JET lathe is well-built and functions flawlessly, ensuring that it will last for many years with no mechanical issues.
So far, I've only made a few pens, but they've turned out well enough that I'm inspired to try my hand at other projects like bowls and vases. br>br>It was a bit pricey, but I'm pleased with the quality and appreciate the variable speed feature, which I'm sure will come in handy when turning more complex pieces.
This lathe is ideal for a beginner. The variable speeds you can adjust on it are what makes it so appealing. The belt on the lathe has only three main adjustments, after which the adjuster is used to fine-tune the ranges. That is an excellent standard of living.
This is a fantastic device. This has been used to turn a number of pens and tool handles, and it performs admirably. Beginners will benefit greatly from this book.
I liked how easy it was to control and learn how to use this lathe. My students beg to use my lathe because it's fun and spins, and I teach high school agriculture.
When compared to other woodworking and metalworking machines I've owned, this is an outstanding example of modern manufacturing. This machine, in my opinion, is better than its predecessor, not worse.
