A hobby person looking for a mini lathe they can quickly unbox and start producing parts will be greatly disappointed with this product. My job consisted of cleaning and deburring all the sharp edges for three days. There was a guy holding casting on the lathe beside the guy who assembles it. In the event that you change the angle of the compound rest, then the tool post is no good. In order to use one of my other lathes' quick change tool posts, I had to modify it. In my opinion, I am very pleased with this lathe. The chuck mounting plate is running true, as verified by a dial indicator set to zero. The chuck is running at 0001 and the needle is at As well, the full length of the bed was tested for tool travel and the tail stock was tested perfectly. The experience could not have been better for me.
