Questions & Answers

How often should I replace the filters in my system?

You will be reminded to remove the filter every 1000 hours of operation by a beeper. Each time the filter reaches 3000 hours, there is a $120 cost for replacing it.

It can hang upside down from the ceiling, right?

As far as I know, I did not remove the rubber feet, but bolting the bracket up should be easy. My dust collector closet serves as a good place to set it. Due to their light-reflecting properties, you cannot see the LEDs that show the timer Apparently, the factory thought it was a good idea to use smoked plastic.

Can you use this for spray tanners?

Tannining with sawdust is not recommended unless you are tanning with something else. There is a chance that what you're spraying will clog up the mesh screen, which could ruin the

The air is cleaner because there is much less fine dust
5/5

The dust I gather in my workshop is collected by a dust collection system and filtered with an air filter mounted on the ceiling since this device has been installed, there is less In this case, the ceiling unit is still on even if I do not turn it on. Due to the volume of very fine dust that collects on the screen of this device, as well as the fact that there is less fine dust settling overnight on surfaces in the shop, this device proves to be a more effective tool than the one I had previously used. This device is most important because it appears to truly clear the air amazingly, but it is comforting to know that it is so quiet as well. In all fairness, I prefer to work near this unit even though my hearing isn't what it used to be. At its highest setting, however, I'm barely aware of it even though it's close to where I work. Also, it is portable, so I wouldn't have a problem keeping it close to me when I need it. As one would expect from Powermatic, the build quality is excellent. I bought it because it was very expensive for me, but I am.

As a replacement for the PM1200, it is ineffective
3/5

In comparison with the PM1200, this unit has insufficient power. As long as the PM1250 is running (on high), I cannot measure any meaningful reduction in shop air particulate levels using my Dylos shop air particle counter (even when placed directly in the exhaust stream of the filter). On the other hand, the PM1200 has a measurably clean exhaust stream and is effective at cleaning shop air. Technically speaking, I think what is happening is that PM1250 does indeed clean the air, but there is an evidence of low efficiency in doing so. It removes only a very small percentage of the particles every time it passes through the air. In contrast, a HEPA filter removes almost 100 percent of particles in a single In its older versions, the PM1200 is not HEPA, but it does remove a high percentage of the dust in every Since it moves so much air several times per hour, it doesn't need to be HEPA as all the air in the shop passes through it several times per hour. Therefore, all the air is cleaned The PM1250, on the other hand, moves a much smaller volume of air (maybe 20% of the particles are removed each time), but ALSO removes only a little amount of the particles every single time. A sort of double-edged sword is created by this Due to the double whammy, it is ineffective in its entirety. The PM1250 is actually quite quiet, which is a plus. While it is quite quiet when it's turned off, it isn't as quiet as my PM1200 when it's turned on! It is hard to tell whether the PM1200 is faster or slower when the PM1250 is turned off, but if the PM1200 is turned off, the PM1250's performance is more similar than Because the unit uses electrostatics to clean the air, I wish I could say that it is (at least) effective in removing the really, really, really fine components of the air (i. e. In this case, the larger particle should be left behind to settle on the floor) but my particulate sensor does not show this. This product doesn't hit the holy grail of both being quiet and effective. In fact, I can't think of any scenario for which this product would be a good choice. I'm returning it.

I am so glad I found this I'm very impressed with this! In the box, it arrived very well packaged in order to avoid any chance of damage
5/5

This is a very easy unit It took no time at all for the system to be up and running. As you work, it does a great job of keeping dust out of the air. That it is not as noisy as most bench or ceiling air cleaners is very nice. Today, I will buy another one for my own place to replace the one I bought for my girlfriend's shop. Although it's pricey, its worth it to prevent our lungs from getting infected by all that sawdust.

I recommend it for a home workshop
5/5

The basement of my home has a small workshop. We are in need of better control over small dust There is a canister dust collector that I have, but it does not catch After working with wood for long periods, I always noticed a lot of dust stirred up in the air. The standard air cleaning units are quite loud and take up a lot of space. I had therefore considered other arrangements in the past. I am extremely pleased with how well this unit works. The small footprint of the unit allows it to fit atop a five foot tool chest and just clear the ceiling seven feet above. Additionally, I like that it allows me to schedule it to run for a period of time after I finish my project to remove the pollutants from As I have completed more projects, I have noticed a reduction in dust.

It's a lifesaver
5/5

There is only one system for large wood carvers with this Jet filter. As I step back and look at my carving through LED lights, I can see only clean air surrounding it. Super quiet and easy to clean, the Jet filter system is perfect for your small space. The carving booth in which I work has two of them.

It is quiet and efficient
5/5

Among my hobbies, I do quite a bit of woodworking. The fact that I still generate a lot of dust despite having two large dust collectors makes me seriously consider the addition of another The fan I'm using This portable computer can be easily placed near my work area because it is easy to move. Even though it has a heavy weight, what really stands out is that when it is running you won't even realize that it is running since it makes no noise like My timer, which is set for eight hours, now cleans the air after I leave so that I can go on with my life while it continues to do so. On the outer screen, you'll eventually see particles that are picked up by the I bought this filter with the hope that it would last for at least 3000 hours.

Air purification system that helps clean the air well
5/5

There is a finished room of roughly 400 square feet that I have dedicated to finishing. There is a 10 ft celling around it. In my quest for a system that would help clean the air in my building without ripping it apart, I came across a number of options. Honestly, if I hadn't been able to test it first, I'm not sure I would have spent the money on it. Consequently, I would like to extend a very special thanks to Brent from Jet/Powermatic. Yes, it is worth the effort. Besides being super quiet, energy-efficient, easy to clean and maintaining, I find that it helps contain the dust and fumes generated by paint, stains, polys, and many other things. I use it daily for extended periods of time, and I could not be happier with it.

That's an easy win
4/5

This is the best addition to my shop in a long time. It is a little heavy, but it is still portable with one hand. It is It bothers me when machines are noisy. Whenever we are spring cleaning (sweeping up household dust) we can use this in our living room as well. You can start using it immediately, it's easy to clean and it's.
