Festool 574930 CT 26 E HEPA Dust Extractor

I own a C36 and recently purchased a C26, believing it to be the same sekf auto clean system as advertised. I was completely wrong. Unlike the c36, the c26 lacks an automatic cleaning system. I assumed it was filter autoclean, but in a smaller version, based on the price and description. I would have bought another C36 for that feature alone if it wasn't so expensive. I don't understand why two vacumes are being sold for nearly the same price but are completely different. The description was misleading to me and did not assist me in making a purchase decision. I'd already used it and it was too late to return by the time I realized there was no self-cleaning.

Overall, this machine is fantastic. Prior to this, I was using a rigid vacuum, which was my loudest tool. This festool is on a whole other level, and you can tell it's well built because it makes a lot less noise than the rigid ones on the highest setting. It's a very faint hum on the lowest setting. I gave it three out of five stars for value because the damn thing cost me $1,000 in total, including accessories and extra bags. After all is said and done, I believe a 5/5 would be closer to 700$, but we're stuck with the EU Germany tax. Because of the noise, you should not be afraid to use your vacuum. Additionally, if you want a "hepa" vacuum, the entire vacuum must be sealed, with a gasket on the canister, rubberized hoses, and so on.

Most of the Festool woodworking tools are compatible with this vacuum. It comes in handy when I'm using sanders, routers, or plunge cut saws. When the tool is triggered, the CT 26E supplies power to the tool and starts it automatically. Individual Festool toolboxes attach to the vacuum's top. The tool system has been designed in such a way that the process produces almost no dust. This item is available in a variety of sizes. I chose this one because it is smaller than the others and thus easier to store in my home workshop. I was blown away by the extremely low dust levels in my garage workshop. It costs a lot of money, as do all of the Festool tools. It's much easier to add the other tools once you have this, in my experience.

Yes, the price is a bit high; is it a little exorbitant? Maybe. It is, however, a significant improvement over a standard shop vacuum. The suction power is excellent, as is the versatility of the various tools. In addition, the Bluetooth feature is fantastic. This vacuum cleaner is a great addition to my store.

I had my heart set on a Makita, but it was out of stock. All of the small details add up, and this is a much nicer piece of equipment than the shop vac it replaces in my shop. At full speed, the noise level is tolerable, and at lower speeds, it's quite pleasant without ear protection. When using my disc sander, I don't need full power. br>The hose is a fantastic upgrade; it's extremely flexible and fits every tool in my shop (so far).

I've owned a few of these and they're fantastic. I use it as a hybrid of vacuuming the car and cleaning the garage, and I do have some DIY projects on the go at times. The Bluetooth power button controller is the best option.
