I didn't care for the fact that King Bargains sent me a dead battery. One of the two 18-volt batteries was fully charged. The other just continues to flash green and red. br>Now I have to go through the tedious process of returning it, receiving a refund, and placing an order for a replacement. For what? to make a second attempt at this dubious effort Prior to shipping, this equipment should be thoroughly examined. Today I learned a valuable lesson. Locally sourced products are preferred.
this . I believe this is my first review ever. This combo set lasted about 5 years in an auto repair shop where it was used every day. The original batteries are still in place as well. The drill had just stopped working a month ago. Every day, the tools were put to use and occasionally dropped. for the sake of argument.
5 ah) were a waste of time, completely dead, and refused to charge. I had ordered a third battery to have one in each tool and one in the charger (6ah battery) and it worked fine, so I contacted Amazon, and they sent me a whole new kit to remove the batteries from to replace my defective ones (since I was already using it with the third battery)- The new kit arrived, and it was the same exact thing; both of the batteries were defective. So I ordered two more 6ah batteries, which are excellent. I also tried the new charge that came with the kit, but it had the same result, indicating that the batteries are defective. The only disadvantage of the larger 6ah batteries is that they are significantly heavier, but they last significantly longer. I didn't need the extra time, and the lighter weight of the 1,5 ah batteries would have been preferable. But it all works fine now, though I had to spend an extra $67 to get the kit to work the way it should (with better batteries, of course). In the end, it's a reasonable price, especially when you consider the cost of purchasing working batteries. I have no intention of returning to Amazon a second time to obtain working batteries; my time is valuable. I was also surprised by how slow the charger is. I'd spend a little more money next time and get the Dewalt 20v instead. Update! I went to the charger to use one of my new batteries. Dead. This is a waste of time! Everything was thrown out. It was a valuable lesson.
These were purchased quite some time ago. Milwaukee is a city that never ceases to amaze me. I'd left the impact on a trailer overnight while it rained, and yes, I was frantic when I awoke! I dashed outside and pulled the trigger, and to my surprise, it still ran like a champ, with the water in the motor shooting out the vents like it was nothing! It's still on the air months later. Great tools for every man's arsenal, of exceptional quality.
These are OUTSTANDING instruments. I made a play fort for the kids out of solid oak boards - Two-by-fours and two-by-sixes I expected the driver to be capable of driving screws, but I was blown away when the DRILL was able to do so as well. and it's set to "fast"! In the past, I've had a lot of trouble doing screws in oak because I had to pre-drill the holes. Drill a lot. Not here. It was a breeze to put together with deck screws and a star drive bit. br>The fit, finish, and feel are excellent, the performance is excellent, and the battery life is adequate given that these are small/light batteries and larger batteries are available. br>I also appreciate the charger's ability to charge both M18 and M12 batteries. br>The entire package is extremely well-designed. So far, no one has said, "Oh, I wish they'd thought of that. " " occurrences br>I already know which brand I'll buy when I need more battery-powered tools. Milwaukee also produces a wide range of tools. as well as some truly bizarre- These balls have markings on them that indicate they were designed for serious professionals.
These are the most effective cordless tools available. The batteries are more durable and usually last for a couple of years or longer. The impact driver is much faster and easier to use than a drill, especially when there are a lot of bolts or screws to install or remove, and it does not twist your wrist like a drill does. When driving long (2 1/2 to 4") deck screws into pressure treated lumber or large, long lag screws into anything, the impact is the most beneficial. They also last for a long time and are almost indestructible. I've dropped them from ladders and roofs with little to no damage, and they've continued to work. I usually have to buy a new set, such as this one, because my old ones were either lost or stolen. Dewalt was my go-to tool in the past. Until I purchased my first set of Milwaukee cordless drills and impact drivers. The power of the motors, as well as the power and longevity of the batteries, are two features that make Dewalt tools stand out. I was fed up with having to replace batteries every 9 to 12 months.
