This drill was shown with a bag attached! It is very deceptive because it does not include a bag, which was not made clear in the initial description. The image depicted in the advertisements is extremely deceiving. Not happy.
I've been using this drill for a few months now, and it has a lot of torque (be careful with the drill setting, or it'll try to break your wrist) and a fast speed. People on job sites frequently comment on how quiet this drill is in comparison to their milwaukee makita ryobi, etc. The handle is well-designed, and you can run it for a shift without your wrist hurting. Now for the bad news: the batteries that come with this kit are complete and total garbage. This is the reason for the low cost of the kit. I was annoyed that I had to change batteries every 2 hours, but amazed at how quickly they charged, until my battery and charger were stolen by an anonymous coworker. I went out and bought a replacement Dewalt battery and charger kit for $150 (yes, good batteries are expensive), and it weighed twice as much as the remaining battery I had and was 1. It now lasts an entire shift on the new proper battery, which is 5x the size. This is a good hobbyist kit, but if you work in the trades, you should consider purchasing bare tools and high-quality batteries separately. This will save you hours of searching for outlets and walking around wasting time changing cheap batteries.
DeWalt gives me the hubba-hubbas, despite the fact that it sounds ridiculous. This is a fantastic tool to have; I'm just getting started with my tool collection, and this is a great place to start. And it makes my heart skip a beat.
I'm not used to using tools, so the simplicity is appreciated. I wish the manufacturers would provide more online video tutorials.
This is an excellent starter kit for those who want to take care of their belongings at home. The drill is small and light, but it packs a punch, and it comes with two batteries. I haven't used the drill for long periods of time in a single session, but there have been no battery issues thus far. You'll probably want to add the screwdriver bit set (for screwing things in) and the drill bit set (for drilling holes) to round out your kit.
This drill has a tremendous amount of force behind it. When you put more force on a difficult screw, it gets louder. The light is extremely useful, and the battery lasts a long time. Don't squander your time with low-cost stills. This individual is capable of performing any task.
Despite the fact that DeWalt is a well-known brand, the quality is poor. The first time I used a medium-duty screwdriver bit, it snapped off like it was made of plastic. I'm extremely disappointed. The drill itself appears to be in good working order. Simply put, don't buy the extras.
This drill/driver has a long battery life, and I bought it to replace a 20-year-old no-name brand unit that was powered by NiCad batteries. It's small and light, but it packs a lot of punch. The Lithium Ion battery pack has a long life span, and I like that it comes with two batteries! I've already put the drill/driver to good use on a few household projects. This book comes highly recommended.
