I leave the battery in the charger after it has been fully charged, but I unplug the charger.
Obviously, it depends on the workload, but I'm happy with the battery life. It also comes with two batteries, so keep one in the charger while you use the other, and swap them out as needed.
Yes, there is a reverse switch on this drill. I love this drill because I'm 75 years old and my hands are in bad shape. It's light weight and has made quick work of installing brackets.
Yes, 12volt cxt max tools are compatible with 2ah and 4ah batteries, as stated in the description!

I first tested this drill at Home Depot. Every box had been clearly opened, returned, and then re-opened. closed with duct tape That made me hesitant to purchase something that had clearly been used or returned, so I went with Amazon. The situation is identical. We then attempted to install a drill bit, but the chuck would not close around the drill bit. Look at the image. In fact, unless it's recessed and not clamping shut, there's no chuck at all. As a result, there's nothing to hold the drill bit in place - There's nothing there but a big hole. I'm not sure what's wrong with this drill, but I'm going to send it back (along with everyone else) and try something else. Be careful who you buy from. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I decided to give it another shot because the size, features, and price of this drill appeal to me. I went back to the store and placed an order for a new one. This box was also clearly taped up, the drill had not been properly reinstalled in the case, and there was no chuck to hold the drill bit once more. It's back to square one. If you can fool me once, you should be ashamed of yourself; if you can fool me twice, you should be ashamed of yourself. Now is the time to find a new drill.
I own a Makita 12v drill for the second time. The first one lasted 12 years and is still in good working order; I just needed newer batteries, so I purchased a second Makita drill.
For such a small drill, it's quite powerful. It's well-made and of good quality. It'll be fantastic.
I was worried that 12 volts wouldn't be enough, but it can do everything my old 18 volt drivers could.
Mikita is one of my favorite things in the world to own. This was a gift from my husband for my birthday, and I have to brag about the quality. It's a small 12V drill with a lot of power and a long charge life; it's a great drill for beginners and women because of its ease of use and small size, which fits perfectly in smaller hands. I also purchased a small Mikita bit set, which works flawlessly.
I mean, it's a small drill, which is nice, but my mother keeps stealing it to use it. I bought scrubbing attachments, and they work great, and the drill keeps up with my constant pounding on the floor. It's pretty clear that my father didn't have much of a problem with it.
This drill was on backorder when I bought it. They delivered it a week ahead of schedule, which impressed me. The item was in excellent condition when it arrived, and it was completely new. When I went to charge my first battery, the charger failed to charge even one of them and shut down.
The construction is well-made and sturdy. It's a huge improvement over the Riobi it replaced. I have a feeling I'll be relying on it for a long time. It comes with two batteries, which I like.
