Questions & Answers

What is the significance of the term "zero" in the context of speed? 1200 RPM, but the review claims it starts at 250 or 600 RPM? I'm looking for something that can be adjusted at any time. ?

It does not, as some reviewers have claimed, have a gradual start. On my drill, the lightest first contact in the trigger produces around 300 RPMs unloaded (I checked with my touch-screen). tach). With the amount of power this drill has, even at the lowest trigger position, it won't stall unless it's under a lot of load. If you're looking for something delicate and low-key, this is the place to be Look for a smaller drill (maybe a 3/8" VSR?) for high-speed operations like fastener driving. This is the drill for you if you need to continuously poke 3/8" to 13/16" holes in up to 3/8" thick steel like I did.

Is there a good case for this drill that anyone has come across?

For the drill, I simply use a standard tool bag.

Is there any masonry included?

Because I only bought the drill, I don't have any experience with the drill bits. However, there is no mention of a masonry bit on the drill bit collection packaging (and I wouldn't expect one in a generic small bit collection).

Is it possible to bore 1 1/4" holes in 4x4 studs with this drill?

I haven't done exactly what you're looking for, but I've used it successfully to bore 1" holes in 2x4s. It has a lot of power, and the "handle" aids in stability.

I'm not sure why I gave "thickness" five stars
5/5

Over the years, I've owned quite a few drill motors. Oh, my god. Let's pretend I'm qualified to give a drill motor a thorough examination.
1. You're going to drop your drill motor, so drop this on the floor on purpose. br>2. Passed No, they didn't scrimp on the power cord's length like most modern tools. 3. acquittedbr>br>acquittedbr>acquitted Quality. br>Ease of use has been passed. It's a drill motor with a chuck that can be keyed. Is it possible to make it any easier? br>Do you want to talk about torque? Hold on tight for an E ride, as this machine has a lot of torque. You might end up on the floor with the DeWalt giggling at you if you're not careful. br>br>In any case, yes. This drill motor comes highly recommended by me for DIYers. I'm not sure if it'll hold up to commercial use, but this isn't a commercial; it's just my opinion.

Although it is extremely powerful, it is not manufactured in the United States
4/5

Other reviews indicated that the speed control was problematic. Fortunately, my machine has excellent speed control from 0 to 3000 RPM. This leads me to believe that the other reviewers' triggers/mofsets were faulty from the factory. Most prosumer power tools have a weak point when it comes to triggers. Because this size drill is imported, I deducted a star. The smaller DeWalts are made in the United States, and I wish this was true across the board.

Drilling with a Dewalt DWD210G This drill is the worst I've ever owned in terms of build quality
3/5

The drill chuck does not properly hold the bit, which wobbles so violently that it shakes your arms and drills bad holes. My Rigid battery drill spins perfectly straight and balanced when I use the same bit. I bought this drill because I needed a more powerful drill to drill through hard cherry wood with a 1/2 inch auger bit. Even with my 9 mah battery, the rigid battery drill didn't have enough power. I paid more for the Dewalt brand because I assumed it was of higher quality; however, this is not the case with the DWD210G drill. This is not a good idea.

I would strongly suggest it! I haven't had any issues with this drill after owning it for about a year
5/5

I bought this to drill through the thick steel frame of my older travel trailer, and I'm extremely pleased with how well it worked. I no longer bother with my cordless drill for anything larger than a pilot hole; I rush to my tool cabinet and take out this dreadful-looking device. For all of my other handheld drilling needs, I'll be using this boy. There's a lot of power here, and the side handle gives you a lot of control. The keyed chuck is excellent, holding all bits securely in place.

This is a very effective drill
5/5

This is a nice and powerful 10A drill, but it isn't a high torque drill (e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , for ship auger bits of a large size). After learning the difference, I purchased a Metabo industrial drill specifically for that purpose. It's a slower 8A drill with a lower gear ratio to keep a big bit moving in a deep hole. With this Dewalt and a 1 inch spade bit, you can rip through any piece of wood quickly.

That's exactly what I needed! To drill 1 inch holes in a tree trunk, a strong drill with a 10 amp motor is required
5/5

Although my Milwaukee hammer drill's battery died, this drill performed admirably. The drill got hot but didn't burn down and is still running well after drilling about 20 holes in a live tree trunk.

Great drill, if a little on the "heavy" side, but well worth the money
4/5

This is a half-inch bit size replacement for a 20-year-old (and finally dead) DeWalt. It has a detachable handle and a 10 amp motor, so it can plow through anything. It is not, however, a one-size-fits-all solution. Drilling with one hand It's a little heavier than most, and it's made to last in the industrial world. That is my only criticism, and I should have considered the WEIGHT of the drill more carefully. That isn't DeWalt's fault; I appreciate the drill's strength. Because of the detachable handle, it can be used for almost any job that requires a drill. This is going to last the rest of my life, I'm pretty sure.

There is a lot of power
5/5

light. durable. as a professional. There won't be any slowdown. Con: Not zero, but around 400 rpm is the drill's minimum speed. Another reviewer made a point about this. He discovered that the problem is due to a flaw in the design. So here's the deal: this is a 400-word essay. VSR at 1200 rpm. As a result, it isn't suitable for steel or drill holes with a fine finish. br>br>Benefits: br>br> This is a LOT of drill, as almost all of the other reviewers have pointed out. Torque is massive. both hands should be used It just keeps going and going, and if you push it too hard, it will shut down. This is a difficult task. a trustworthy source It is, however, surprisingly light, weighing in at around 4 pounds. 9 lbs. In order to run 10 ga romex, I drilled hundreds of 3/4" spade bit holes in studs. The drill barely warmed up (the spade bit became blazing hot and required three resharpenings, LOLs). I'm working on a large stucco project, and I have a sneaking suspicion that this will make an excellent mud mixer. br>br>3rd Edit 17: For the past four months, we've been using this drill almost every day for mixing and large-scale multi-hole drilling. Wire brushing and sanding are two other things we like to do with it. This has a life-saving overload circuit. We run this drill for hours until it automatically shuts down after 10 minutes. Then, without missing a beat, it starts right up again. Unfortunately, the price of the 210 has risen, but it is still well worth the money, earning us a 5-star rating. br>br>3rd Edit 23: We're going to buy five more 210s. It turns out that you can get them used for a very low price, though not always on Amazon (hint hint nudge nudge).
