There are nearly 1500 people who have been affected by this impact. Torque in lbs. They have a lot of impact and can be beaten up, but they will last.
Yes, there are two batteries included.
It can drive a 4 inch screw through almost any wood without drilling a hole, but the screw will snap in half. This small impact, on the other hand, is not intended for use on automobiles. It simply lacks the necessary muscle, and it will be damaged much sooner than it should be. Is it possible to use it to fix a car? you can. It won't, however, break loose lug nuts as you'd like. It will remove a lug nut here and there, but not in the same way that a 1/2 inch impact wrench does when a mechanic is working on a car. If you want to work on cars properly, get a 1/2 inch impact wrench and never look back. Dewalt offers a few different battery-powered 20v models. one with a lot of torque, which is probably a little too much in 1200 foot pounds mode; one with a lot of horsepower; one with a lot of torque; one with a lot of horsepower; one with a lot of torque; l 899. At least $400 will be spent on this one. I paid around $160 for the model 889 bare tool. With a maximum torque of 400 foot pounds, it has plenty of torque for any car repair or tire change. Because I didn't want to overwork the impact if it didn't remove or even loosen the axle nut after 5 seconds, I had to use a breaker bar to remove an extremely overtightened axle nut. Apart from that, it has proven to be one of my most profitable investments. It's also very convenient that it's powered by 20-volt batteries. The money was well spent. buy one

I repurchased the drill because it was so good. br>br>I had to repurchase it because it was so bad that it was literally shooting flames out the back when I used it. I don't know if it's still under warranty, and there's no obvious way to contact Dewalt. br>br>update: For nearly a month, I communicated with Dewalt back and forth. They requested proof of purchase, which I gladly provided. Then they gave me a free shipping label so I could send them the drill. They told me after they got the drill that it was no longer under warranty, but that they now have any evidence of a class action lawsuit about their drills catching fire in their possession, which is fortunate for them. They offered to "repair" it for a price that was nearly equal to the drill's price. I'm not sure why they couldn't have just told me they were wasting my time after receiving my proof of purchase, which is when they would have realized the warranty had expired.
These were ordered on the spur of the moment. I was in the market for some new Dewalt drills when I came across this package deal for a 20v Lithium drill set. Now, here's what I'm going to say: The title is slightly misleading because the maximum voltage is 20 volts and the base voltage is 12 volts. Even after all these years, it still does the job and does it well! I used it to store my four. I installed a 5" lift kit on my 92 Jeep and have had no problems so far, and the battery life is adequate. I got about 4 solid hours of consistent pick-up and use before she needed to change the battery (that is, undo a bolt, put it down, line up new shackles, thread on new bolts, and then use a dewalt to set and lock them down). PROS: br>br> br>PROS: Lightweight, low price, good power (will lock bolts super tight), nice bag, fast charging timesbr>br>CONS: br>States 12 volts with a maximum of 20 volts - The LED light on the Impact drill is located under the bit, making it difficult to see what you're doing above it to line something up. It's not a true 20v drill. br>br>In general - I couldn't be more pleased with the price and the quality of the product! It assisted me in completing the task, and I plan to use it for future projects as well!.
Amazon was unable to assist with this update. My old 18volt out lasted longer and had more power, drill lasts about 10 minutes when drilling, batteries don't last half as long as my old 18v dealt with, very unsatisfied, only reason I bought it was couldn't find an 18v setup to replace mine that broke, in the middle of a job so had to have something, looking at makita my father in law has them and I had to borrow his the last couple days so I could finish the job I'm not pleased at all. When I called the help line, the person on the other end of the line acted as if I were an idiot. Is the battery fully charged? There isn't even a smidgeon of assistance. I tried to inquire about returning it or receiving a refund, but she had no idea, and I tried calling Dewalt with no luck. I'm going to try to return it, but it smells like it's on fire. Both of the units.
I own a number of Dewalt tools and am pleased with their performance. Before I bought it, I read on YouTube that some of the drills in this kit have a problem with the bits falling out of the drill chuck when the trigger is released. So I put the drill to the test when I got there, and sure enough, the bits kept falling out- Because of the torque, the drill comes to a halt quickly and twists in your hand. I spoke with customer service, and they sent it out without any issues- prepaid – for the purpose of repair. It was returned to me with the same issue. Now I'm sending it to a different service center (I just want it fixed, not a refund) to be replaced with a tested drill. The impact driver and batteries included in the kit, by the way, are excellent. If the drill does not work properly when I return it, the company has promised to refund my money in full. br>UPDATE: Drill was sent to two service centers, but neither of them could fix it. Dewalt upgraded my drill to a better model and provided me with two new batteries and a charger at no cost. You should be aware, however, that the service technician stated that this is a "consumer" drill, as opposed to their more expensive professional drill kits. Nonetheless, it is expected to work when it arrives.
Tools made by Volt Everything else is a Prius compared to the DeWalt 20 Volt tools, which are like having a NASCAR. This set was purchased for my grandson, who is 23 years old. For over 35 years, I've been building movie sets, and I'm frequently on location in the middle of nowhere. As a result, I now have a complete set. Note: On a film crew set, DeWalt 20 Volt is the ONLY brand you'll see.
I bought this to replace an older set, and the lighter lithium batteries appealed to me. The problem is that these things aren't built to last; my old set lasted for hours. I could work for an entire day on a single battery for a large project. On a full charge, they only last about an hour. It was a huge let down. We have to keep charging the batteries, so every project takes twice as long. br>br>Two stars because the tools work fine when fully charged; if you're looking for something to hang a set of curtains or a picture on the wall, this will suffice; if you're someone who uses their tools on a regular basis, look elsewhere.
Dewalt is a brand I like, but this set didn't live up to my expectations, with sparks flying out the back and a kick when the trigger is let off. Simply pay a little more to go brushless, which is smoother and produces fewer sparks. I work with flammables on occasion, and sparks flying out of the breather vents is definitely not something you want.
