Questions & Answers

I can't seem to get the drill bit into the hole - I can't get my chuck to open because it's too tight. I followed the manual's instructions to a tee. Help! ?

The exact same problem exists! I've tried everything there is to try and find a solution to my problem. My husband, too, was unable to loosen it. Because of it, I haven't been able to use the drill, and it's too late for me to return it. Not a happy camper, to say the least. Were you able to free the chuck at any point?

Is this drill powerful enough to use with the "power cone" attachment to polish my car's chrome wheels?

I'm not sure how much power your device requires, but I've found this drill to be extremely powerful for all of my regular drilling tasks.

I need to drill a few screws into the mdf. There aren't any prerequisites. holes that have been drilled Is this the kind of thing I'm looking for?

Because there is no clutch on this drill, it has the potential to get away from you when the screw bottoms out unless you are very familiar with these drills.

Is there an automatic brake on this drill? Is the bit stopped spinning as soon as you let go of the trigger?

No, it won't stop spinning once you let go of the trigger. At the very least, if you just hold it up in the air. I haven't found it to keep going when drilling something in, even with small screws, in practice.

Great product, but be aware that when it arrives, the chuck may be overtightened
5/5

It's well-made and sturdy, and it's still going strong after many hours of use. It did come with the chuck fully open and overtightened, so I had to use a lot of force to get it to close. Other customers had complained that it was stuck when it arrived and that they couldn't get it to tighten. Mine did the same thing, I just used my big muscles, lol, but seriously, it shouldn't be overtightened when it's first put together, and the product should at the very least be inspected before being shipped to customers. br>I was sick of having to recharge batteries every time I got halfway through a project, so I went old school and bought this basic drill. So far, it's outperformed my other drills, which run on batteries that are twice as expensive as this one. It comes with a keyless chuck, which is essential for any drill. br>The drill runs at a much lower temperature than my other larger ones, which makes it easier to hold for long periods of time. br>It has 5. 2 amps of power, which is more than enough for most household tasks, and a handy constant power button that allows the drill to continue drilling without the need to press the button. br>The handle is pleasant to hold, and the light weight aids in screwing things up high above your shoulders. br>Since then, I've purchased a longer power cord and find myself using this drill for almost everything. br>br>Please click the "helpful" button below if you found my review useful. It provides necessary supplies to my Disabled Veterans Group. Thank you and stay safe at all times; br>br>.

Drilling of high quality at a low cost
5/5

My wife and I needed to add a few more heavy pieces to our apartment's walls. We don't have a lot of tools, so we were hesitant to buy one rather than borrow one. Even if we only used it once in a while, we felt the purchase was justified for the price. I was expecting a low-cost drill, similar to what you'd find at Harbor Freight for under $10. We were pleasantly surprised by how well-built and functional it was. PROS **

br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Quality materials were used to create this product. The parts that come into contact with your hand are made of a softer plastic, similar to what you'd find on a ballpoint pen with a grip, but better. Given the strength of the plastic, I honestly believe I could use the butt end as a hammer, but I wouldn't advise it.

- Very comfortable to use, with a good reach to the Forward/Reverse slider and Lock-On button. All of this can be done with just one hand.

- The chuck can be adjusted easily, and it prevents over-tightening. the bit is being tightened

- A Phillips/Flathead bit is included, which will fit most common screws. The provided bit has a place to be stored at the bottom of the handlebr>br>- I would not have bought this drill if the variable speed switch did not have such fine control. When drilling in a screw, it's sometimes necessary to go slowly at first, or you'll end up with a screw that's sideways, for example. br>br>- The Lock- By pressing the on button instead of the switch, you can set the drill to a specific speed. This feature comes in handy when buffing out scratches on a car or sanding with a small sanding attachment.

- Nothing is worse than having to replace a drill or repair it yourself because a power cable has become exposed and dangerous. br>br>- anti fray housing where the cord meets the drill. A two-year warranty is included, as well as a 30-day money-back guarantee. br>br>- guaranteebr>br>- guaranteebr>br>- guaranteebr>b Packaging should be as simple as possible. The drill and a small and concise multi-tool are packaged together in one box. There is no oversized box or messy cardboard padding, and the manual is written in both English and Spanish. *** CONS **

br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> The electric motor is cooled by an open grill/air vent, as is the case with most drills. Given that I can see the components inside, I don't feel comfortable using this outside in inclement weather; however, this should not be an issue in normal use.

- If you hold the drill bit in the holder at the bottom of the handle in the wrong way, it can poke your hand. If this is a problem, you can either move the Flathead to the left and use the less sharp Phillips tip, or you can remove the bit altogether. (just make sure you don't lose it)br>br>- The drill is a little heavy for one-handed use, and the weight of a battery pack does not help to offset how top-heavy it is. It's quite heavy. br>br>In conclusion, I would recommend this drill to anyone looking for a low-cost, high-quality general-purpose drill. br>br>**I paid full price for this item and was under no obligation to write a review*

continue to drill First and foremost, I am a 75-year-old woman
4/5

I've discovered that I'm now required to perform minor repairs on my own. The drill is one of my favorites. It isn't overly substantial. However, I lack the strength to significantly tighten it. The instructions assume you're a man who knows how to operate a drill. That was not the case. It doesn't respond to even the most basic of my questions. I went to YouTube, on the other hand. I watched a number of drill videos. I see why the bit kept falling out now. It simply wasn't snug enough. In addition, the items I purchased were cheap junk. I enjoy the drill and would recommend it to others.

For the price, it's a good buy, but there are a few minor flaws in the design
4/5

With the right bits, it's strong enough to drill through a variety of materials. The all-plastic frame is nice and heavy in the hand, but I'm concerned about the buttons and chuck, which could break or jam. Drill forward reverse slide is difficult to throw and gets in the way a little. It's also a pain to use the bit holder in the handle. If you slip, the included screwdriver bit is longer than the handle and bites into your hand. To avoid injury, it's best to leave the handle bit holder empty. An extension cord will be required for the short 6' cord. It is, however, a good buy for the price. It's just not a tool that professionals should rely on heavily. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> This is something I've been doing for quite some time. To avoid getting jabbed, you should take the bits off the handle. I've been pleasantly surprised by how well it's held up over time. I've had a lot of use out of it now, and my concerns about the plastic parts were unfounded. It is, in fact, quite durable. This drill is still recommended for DIYers who will only use it occasionally, but not for professionals who will use it frequently.
