Questions & Answers

Is it possible to rotate the drill press on this unit 90 degrees so that it hangs off the edge of the workbench so that longer stock can be drilled into the ends?

The answer is yes, but be careful when you do it.

When drilling, what is the maximum diameter of the material being drilled (from the axis of the drill to ?

Many of the questions have been sent to people who purchased different sizes, so we get varied answers. In some of the reviews, there are also reviews of An item with an 8-digit identification number is the WEN 4208 The difference in length is an inch. To drill the center of an 8-inch disk, you simply drill in the center of the disk. It will be about four inches in diameter, or about an inch The distance from the drill center to the body is inches. There are 10 wires in the WEN 4212 The swings are measured in inches. For anyone who is trying to drill a 9-mm hole, It is necessary to have one of these models if you drive an inch wheel. I consider this drill to be great value for This drill allows drilling into long stock due to its ability to be swung over the edge of a work bench. This can be done by installing a center hole in the bottom of a 36" post. The beveling work table is also a great feature. In place of one I did not have on the press, this will do. The WEN 4214 with 12-pin connector would be a good option for you if you have the space The swing is one inch. You can drill the center of the 12-inch round in it even though it is still small enough to fit under the bench.

You cannot buy Chuck since he keeps falling off
4/5

I've been having a headache with this thing since day one. This chuck falls off every time after the first few uses. I'll probably return it while I still can, which will be even more stressful with I am updating. Because the seller offers excellent customer service, I am changing my rating from 3 to 4.

The price is excellent for the quality of the press
5/5

It is a great press with ease of use. My goal here was to get straight holes through the alloy while using enough power to penetrate it. As soon as I put the belt on the second to highest torque setting, I achieved the second slowest speed and the press worked as it should. The paper on this press is rough in every way. It is not a work of art, but it will cut holes, is relatively light, and it is strong. This is all that you need, and it is all that you will ever need. In order to store this press, I clamp it to my work bench, then I can clamp it to the ground for use. The larger the press, the more difficult it would be to move.

of the prices are lower
5/5

My goal was to finish 80% of my lowers with this. My expectations were so high that this turned out so well. The 5D Tactical Pro jig does not give me a run out of any kind. My ability to drill right through the lower and out of the trigger slot in less than one minute is superb. The stroke is only 2 inches, so I place the bit in the chuck and raise the table so the bit goes through the guide hole on the jig and then lock the press table, then lock the vice that's attached to the drill press and lower it into it. Next, I add cutting fluid to the bit and turn it by hand to make sure it is in the right place. I then turn on the drill press and drill the first hole, I back off a few times and add more fluid, and I am This 8 inch LCD was a great purchase. I really like the 10 inch higher resolution better, but the 8 is still a very good value at the price. The drill press that you need to do perfect lowers can be found at this link.

I suggest starting at 001 and getting a bigger or more expensive machine
5/5

Wen might be my new favorite. Yes, the bolt is flexible between the head and the post, but it did not cause significant drill deflection, even at maximum Anyways, if you want a + or - Would you mind drilling some The drill press you need is this one.

It's a nice little press to satisfy my needs
5/5

In my role as a cabinetmaker, I typically use a drill press for drilling holes in cabinet doors for hinge cups and 3/16" holes in drawer heads for handles and knobs. A knob. There is not a lot to do here. As a result of reading the reviews, I went ahead and purchased the book. The comparisons I make will be based on my ownership of a Delta 8" press in the past. My first impression of this product was the packaged way it was delivered - one of the best I have seen in a while The item arrived in a pair of fitted styrofoam trays, surrounded by beefy cardboard. Secondly, the assembly instructions appeared clear and straightforward. A simple task. An aptitude for mechanical design will allow a 12 year old to put this together. Compared to my old Delta, the new one has two annoying features The chuck key and the feed handles were always loose - there was nowhere to store them. I read a review where the author said that this press has a top-heavy feel. The purpose here is to make sure that it is easy to use and safe at the same time. Overall, I'm confident that this Wen press will do all that I request for a long time.

The smallest drill press I have ever seen
5/5

Please note that If you are looking for an affordable drill press, this one is a good deal. It has been a pleasant surprise to see the quality so far. If you compare the contents with the retail price, you should find it to be 100. Almost half of what was quoted to me was paid to me. The drill was able to drill through a 2x4 with ease with a 1-inch bit The lowest speed was used with the 3-4" forstner bit. There are limits to its effectiveness though, and the belt will slip if you try to push too hard. As a result, it doesn't perform like a heavy-duty unit but should be fine for light duty applications.

I have been very pleased with the performance and features of the Wen drill press
5/5

The 8-inch was purchased by me Our drill press is the 14-inch version of the Wen drill press and we have been very satisfied As a kid, I saw it on the big screen This product was $27 cheaper on Amazon than it was at the big-box store. This made me happy because I would not have been able to afford it at the big-box store. as you can see, that's pretty great! Despite some minor flaws, the overall construction is solid. As far as the unit is concerned, the head is heavy and the base is excellent, because it supports the head's weight No cracks or surface erosion have been observed on any of the castings. I think the baseplate is about the right size for me, though it may be too small for some people. As I plan on building a small fence for the bed, the bed will in any event be extended. Despite all the precautions I have taken, the bed of my unit is rusted more than I expected it to be. it is disappointing, it doesn't affect the performance of the machine. But it would be nice if it were rust-free. I only have one slight complaint, and most of it just stems from the lack of a certain My only issue with the depth guide is how it works, the two nut configuration is a bit challenging to get right because it takes so much effort to insert a wrench into it. As a result of the tightness of the nuts on my drill press, I had a hard time loosening them so that I could Possibly relocating the guide away from the unit's head would have been easier, and once the nuts were freed they became easier to move, but the gap between the nuts and the drill press head is a little narrow, so it's difficult to get my fingers into the area. But it is not ideal, so I don't see why it can't be done.

I do wish there were a way to lock the drill press into a down position, but that is not possible with this model. Considering this price range, this is probably asking a bit too much. Possibly you could add a nut to the bottom of the depth guide so that it acts as a lock, but other than that, it's not feasible. - All of the dials, nuts, bolts, belts, and springs are extremely tight and have been adjusted to just the right tension. Buy it if you don't mind spending the money. In particular, the price is great!.
