Do the Powermatic 719T Mortiser and this riser work in harmony?

There is no way it would work with the 719 model, since its made for the 701 model.

The lengthened base hardware to attach this to the existing base is included in this package?

As part of the Kit, you will find There is one unit of measurement. The inch Riser Block is available in four pieces. The socket head cap screw (M8 x 80) fits in the socket head.

In what ways does the riser allow me to work?

This allows you to mortise thicker pieces of wood that would be difficult to fit between the base and drill without a riser.

It is necessary to purchase this kit for long chisels and bits

Initially, I wasn't certain that I needed it, but after my first use of the Mortiser I decided to use it as a result of the length of the chisel and bits. It was easy to assemble thanks to the instructions. It's important to be aware of how heavy the mortiser is. The process of making the change is simple. Thanks to my clearance, I am now able to do what I need to do. The situation is very positive.

Having this option on hand is great, however, once installed you will loose the capability to adjust the rack and pinion fence

This is a great addition for people who need to extend the height of their Powermatic 701s. It was installed on my computer, but I You are unable to adjust the fence with the rack and pinion on the mortiser equipped with a riser. In the future, I intend to keep my extra height on hand, and only use it if and when I need it.

Very happy with the results! In my case, using this riser block, I was able to mortise stock that was 6" thick

A simple installation and an easy to operate product

The machine is now able to handle more loads thanks to this compact unit. My only quibble is this In the rack on fence, there is a slot through the riser block, which is great, but the pinion gear no longer engages properly, making the knobs for adjusting the height worthless.
