Actually use them for a portable air conditioner to close in the winter to reduce drafts and 2 for a Santa Fe dehumidifier to divert exhaust indoors for heat in the winter and outside in the summer

This is the blast gate to get if you're looking for a low-cost option. Because there aren't many 5" gates available, your options are limited. At the time I bought it, I didn't feel like making one. It is not possible to clean the gate automatically. It doesn't fully close anymore. This is particularly inconvenient because I need to disassemble a dust collection system in order to repair it. I'm not sure I'll put it in once I get it.

Beware- The quality is very low

Two plates are made of inexpensive plastic. No pressure was applied to the joint where the plates meet, and the joint broke. Joints that are extremely fragile. The quality is extremely poor.

***MUST READ*** Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I needed 5 inch flanges for my DC, and this appeared to be a good option. For a few dollars, I followed the advice, and they easily separated as expected, and there you have it, I had exactly what I needed for pennies on the dollar (compared to the cost of actual 5 inch flanges). I gave them five stars because they were perfect for what I needed.
