On cold windy days when I'm running the stove, I use this on the cold air inlet to shut off the cold air inlet when I'm not using the stove to reduce heat loss in the house.
For wood stoves, this is ideal for supplying adjustable gated combustion air! (This includes both metal and non-metal items. ) materials that are flammable If combustion air needs to be gated or controlled within a basement or elsewhere, it can be easily connected with 4 inch ABS pipe.

The piece is well-made, but there is some leakage near the end and through the gate when it is closed. Aluminum tape was used to help seal the end. Both sides of the 3" duct fit snugly. I think it's a good value for the money.
The product was of good quality and arrived exactly when it was supposed to.
I use both aluminum and plastic blastgates, and while they both work, the aluminum gates operate much more smoothly. They are, in my opinion, well worth the extra money.

I made a coupling to install this blastgate in the feed air intake for my woodstove so that I could better control the fire or turn it off completely.
