Fantastic - I wish I had purchased this item five years ago! I work as a professional furniture maker and rely heavily on Festool products
5/5

For over 5 years, I've used my Festoll CT22 Dust Extractor with all of my Festool equipment (sanding, Domino, Track saw, etc. ) and have finally purchased the Boom Arm. It's something I wish I'd done five years ago! It keeps the cord and vacuum hose out of the way while still allowing full access to the work surface. I recently finished sanding an 8' X 4' table top and was able to reach every part of it without having to re-sand. Place the dust extractor in the best possible position. br>br>As with many Festool purchases, it appeared to be a little pricey at first, but after I bought it, I was ever-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so I was fortunate to have it. The only minor criticism I have of this attachment is that the stabilizer bars that keep it from tipping are a little obtrusive, making it difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. Perhaps future boom arm iterations will improve on this, but to be honest, it's a minor annoyance for me.

It does the job of keeping the hose and power cord off the floor
5/5

The fiancee's Christmas present. It appeals to him greatly. He said it was the best present he'd ever received at work, and he's not a big talker! So I suppose it's a big deal for him to brag about what I did for him. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what you're talking about. I was expecting it to act more like a pulley or move more, but it doesn't. I was unsure if I was supposed to buy other parts because I noticed some other models came as a kit because we have an older model of the vacuum, so I double-checked that this is the right one. I was also unsure if I was supposed to buy other parts because I noticed some other models came as a kit because I noticed some other models came as a kit because I noticed some other models came as a kit because I noticed some other models came as a kit because I noticed some other models came But, since he already had the vacuum handle, I decided to be safe and not overspend. And I was correct; if you already have the vacuum's large push handle, you don't need the extras. even if it's a 10-year-old model! He claims that having the power cord on hand is the best part. He didn't use the side legs because they take up too much room and, in my opinion, limit mobility. I'm not sure why you'd need it if it's not going to fall over any time soon. Maybe if you yanked on it like a lunatic? It looks cool and makes his garage look super legit and alienlike! It's a bit pricey, but he thinks it's worth it.

Discouraged - There are a number of items missing, some of which are quite large
3/5

For shipping purposes, the box was insufficient. This was a new product when I ordered it in June, and it appears that the package was resealed during shipping. Two of the outriggers were missing, as was one of the cross braces. My Festool CT-1000 had been lent to me. I gave my son a CT-33E vacuum for a home remodeling project, and I didn't inspect the contents of the package until today, when I planned to install the unit after he returned my CT-33E. Vacuum pressure is 33. The following Festool part numbers and online pricing are currently unavailable: (2) 492783 Outrigger Supports $26 each br>br> 46 each - (1) 493040 Strut $35 br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> 49 (includes two struts/cross braces as a package)br>br>So I'll have to spend another $89, plus shipping, to complete this $375 order. Please let me know what I can do to help.

This boom accessory is a must-have for anyone who uses the Festool vacuum system in our shop
5/5

The hose is kept up and out of the way with this device. The hose can follow your tool over the work product without getting in the way because of the swing on the boom arm. Two vacuum cleaners and two booms are in my arsenal.

Boom arm from Festool
5/5

On a 26' speed boat, I was sanding the decks, and the hose coming up over the side of the sheer plank from the floor was constantly catching and annoying me. I decided that at this point in my career, I deserved a little more respect at work, so I ordered one of these bad boys. It has fulfilled all of my expectations. Like all Festool products, it's well-thought-out and designed, and it's simple to put together. To make the thing work, you have to order the handle, which is an extra cost, but it makes moving the vacuum a lot more enjoyable, and I wish I'd had one on my CT22 for the last ten years. A tubular bracing component is also included in the system, which may be required if you boom off the vacuum's back. It's inconvenient if you want to move the vacuum around the shop, and it's unnecessary if you use the vacuum's front-mounted boom. Because it's simple to put on and take off, I leave it off and keep it on hand in case I need it. This product will help you live a better life while also looking cool.

This is an excellent concept
4/5

This is a must-have item that needs to be updated. This boom arm is something I have and use on a regular basis. It's perfect for staying out of the way because it's high enough. Keeps the cord and vac line from dragging on my work surface, as it should. It's been about a year since I've used it. After 5 years, it's possible that my issue with it has been resolved. The "joints" between the upright sections are a slip fit construction with a short, hard plastic insert to allow the arm to swivel, which is the only flaw I see with it. Because the plastic insert is either too short or too hard, the boom arm now sags forward and downward by about 6 inches. It still works, but it isn't "plumb" (which irritates me). br>Otherwise, a great unit that I wouldn't be without in the shop if Festool used longer inserts to provide more support. br>.
