The tool is designed to flush out Cutting blade. Cutting the tissue is a bypass procedure that produces a clean, flat wound. With blade to blade cutting you get a pinch cut (such as you might get with
Using this tool for thin materials will let it handle them, but for thick materials the tool might not be able to handle them and might even break.
Flush cutters are defined as those that are not formed from the tip but from the side. They cut close to the edge if you use them from the side. Metal, steel, and piano wire cannot be cut with these since they are made to cut plastic and soft metal.
A spring releases the jaws of the Xuron Model 410T after it has been cut.

Cutters like the Xuron 410 are my favorite. The 410 cutters are inexpensive and sturdy and make clean, flat cuts. Unfortunately, I had wanted the 410T (lower profile jaws), but I received the standard 410 cutters sleeved in the It has never been an issue to me to replace the cutters so I just kept them, but if you need the T model, make sure you find the right cutters.
Xuron has disappointed me enough that I will never buy another pair of cutters from them. The last time I had them was less than four days ago - Using 22g silver, I used them for perhaps an hour before they broke midway through the coil - this is the second time I have experienced this- In addition to having no clippers, I had to go to Lowe's to complete my commission project with them.
It's the second pair I've gotten from Xuron to complete this task. Soft metals are likely to refer to dead soft and nothing more when they say they are soft. We would not recommend this for jewelry work -- There is only one upside I think I got what I paid for, as they are not expensive.
It is my job to build Gundam models in 1/144 scale. The majority of those little pieces are very small, and if you've ever built them before, you know that. The sprues of plastic are well cut with these. Obviously there is still some trimming to do, but nothing is perfect.
One reviewer said that the model pieces would not come off the sprue when you cut them. Their story didn't make any sense to me. In any case, it is the truth. The plastic remnants are so small that I think only a tiny thread binds them together, but the pieces just pop right off the sprue. The one issue (not enough to deduct a star) is that I wish these had a small spring to force them apart. It seems like they should, there is a metal tail coming out of one of the handles, but I can't figure out what that is As a precaution, I would suggest that you handle these carefully. There is a slight offset between the blades. I wouldn't call that a bug, but a feature. That does mean, however, that if you use the wrong blade against a sprue piece, the non-proper blade will cut some plastic down to size. Having learned it the hard way, I quickly realized that I needed to adapt to it. However, this is not so significant as to detract a star from the tool, but it definitely is a slight inconvenience. I am very impressed by the quality of construction and lubrication of this tool. Those are the two I bought.
My own experience as a Gunpla/model kit builder prompted this review. I needed a new pair of nippers fast and for a temporary period because my old ones broke. I feel these nippers aren't sharp enough to get a clean cut even though they cut through, but the price is right. My sense of this is reflected in how much pressure I have to use to pull out the piece. The higher quality ones would cut more like butter, so you would only need a little bit. A bit of a problem is that the tip is too large to fit into smaller spaces in 1/144th scale All in all, I expected the price to be low, so the blow isn't too significant. Once again, this review is based on the use of this product with.
For soft plastic pieces, such as those in Gundam models, I use these as sprue cutters. It is possible for me to get wickedly close cuts if I have the right angle. Large dark plastics will not lighten or warp to an uncomfortable degree. There has even been times when I have nipped tiny bits of excess without any problems. In the pair I received, a spring was actually present. My clips always spring open again after I clip them. In addition to being very comfy, they're also very padded and soft. As a result of my arthritis, my hands get sore quickly, and these allow me to work a lot longer before I need to take Especially at this price point, this is a great choice for soft plastic sprues.
You will indeed receive the 410T despite the fact that it is not stamped that way. A really great product. Because I noticed the same "410" tool stamp number on the shears as the other reviewer, I was also concerned that I had the correct product. My concern has been communicated to Xuron, and here is a copy of our A pair of your 410T shears recently came to me via the Internet. I recently noticed that the back of the cutting heads had only the name "410 Micro Shear", which has since been removed. What happened to me? Did I get scammed? Does 410 simply mean an allele at the end of the chromosome. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, Ryan--
"Hi Ryan, thanks for your e-mail. It is certain that you have received the correct tool because the Model410T you ordered is a variant of the Model 410 and doesn't differ from the Model 410 in any way. We would be glad to answer any further questions you might have.
You wouldn't know what to look for unless you knew what to search There is no doubt that the product of a "Sprue" offers a unique and required feature that is hard to identify This cutter works. In the end, even the close calls cannot be avoided Photographs of this tool at close range are not adequate to illustrate its physical structure which is unique and necessary. In simplest terms a "Sprue" is the left-hand side of a spue Overprojection needed to be removed from a product that is constructed from liquid-based materials Mold that has been poured. When molten, the liquid is normally in a molten state- A precision-calibrated hand is necessary for lead removal and sprue removal The cutter was designed to only cut this projection, which is caused by excess lead inside the miniature funnel, part of the mold, which served as a funnel that allowed the molten lead to be fed into the mold safely (if any spillage occurred).
The cutter must be thin, have a rounded edge on both blades, and be able to sit close to the molded piece while being strong enough to cut the sprue without breaking the tool! The tool in question fulfills all requirements, including the additional ability to act as a simple wire cutter to cut electronics wires.
I consider these cutters to be the greatest. During this period. They are incredibly durable and precise in every way. You may wonder how precise can they really be, but here's what I can tell you was using them to cut meteorites into cubes as small as 1mm per side. Not only did they cut well (reducing waste), but they also held up well for thousands and thousands of cuts. This is amazing since most meteorites are basically clay and metal mixed together.
