I was able to remove the two Torx screws that held the MAF sensor in place. According to my review, the bits center holes [on the set I received] were all centered, unlike some reviews here that state they are It was missing a bit holder, so the ratings were reduced by one star.
The battery pack I wanted to disassemble required a T10 torx tamper proof bit. It was not possible to use this T10 bit in this set because the hole in it had to be made larger to fit the battery fasteners. It also looks like there are some issues with the hole- The middle. If I need them in the future, I might be able to use some other bits.
When taking apart an Xbox controller, it works.
The dealership would not do it and said it couldn't be done on my GM SUV roof rack - so I had to do it myself - I found that the largest size worked well here!.
This is just a quick note. One of them was purchased for a family member who was having trouble removing a torx screw from an Xbox 360. There was a slight stripe at the top of the head, so No#8 would have been the right size for it. There was a No #9 that would do nicely in this situation. I am very pleased with this set's price! We will not know for sure if they are durable for much longer, but we will.
Torx bits like these are a decent enough set of security They are the security type of screws, so I bought them since I have some torx screws with a Some manufacturers seem to think that is necessary but I don't know why. You'll want to remember that this set of security torx bits is not meant for real heavy-duty applications They are not an ideal solution for most uses, but they can be used for duty service. As far as my requirements were concerned, they certainly met them.
The security screws on my microwave cabinet made it impossible to disassemble it without this tool. I used it to "unlock" the cabinet so I could replace a bad part. Delivery was delivered as promised, and the tool worked perfectly. My microwave also works now.
Even though I only needed the T8, my only choices were the one bit alone for $8, or all the other sets on Amazon. In other words, yes the price on Amazon is comparable to that on Amazon. The general rule is. Since I had to pay nearly $10 for this little bit, I apologize. It was basically free for 6. Upon arrival the package was in good condition and on time.
