When I was in high school, my shop teacher used to talk a lot about shop safety, particularly There was no need for those silly safety guards when I cut tons of wood. I then slipped and my thumb went on the roof of the garage when I was cutting a small board. Despite my accident causing a doctor's visit, I now feel the importance of safety items like push sticks, as well as all the other safety items on the table saw. It was impossible for me to find these sticks in any hardware or industrial supply store in my town. Basically, these are great, they are light and strong but also have a great grip. I really like this deal. Do you think I can get back my thumb tip?.
In first place, it's just a push stick so there's not really much engineering involved. This means that it performs well for its intended use. This handle is the source of my annoyance. Large and slippery, it is a bit of a challenge. I feel like I'm holding onto the large end of a baseball bat because I have larger hands than most people. It is amplified by the very smooth, slippery plastic surface that I believe I do not have good control over the stick. I feel like I have to hold the stick much tighter because the grip has no grip, ironically, and so I have to use a stick that is much shorter and lighter than the one I made from scrap wood. If you don't have an aluminum table saw, then the magnets serve a good purpose, but I think the free, DIY scrapwood pushstick is better.
I strongly recommend you DO NOT purchase this product if you are left-handed! If you are right handed, you can place the stick in the slot where the handle faces you, because the magnets are on only one side of the body. This should be placed to the left of the saw. If this is placed to the right, it will lead to a dangerous Since it is winter, I have not yet had the chance to test out the grip material, which is a bit too smooth and may slip in your hand on a hot summer day.
As the owner of a wood moulding and products manufacturing company, I manufacture wood mouldings. The push sticks they sell here were in need of being replaced, so I looked in a few stores and This has been a great experience for us. The handle on these is lovely (others I've found are small in the hand) and they have a fairly narrow pusher end, so we can use them for smaller Due to their orange color, they easily stand out in your shop, and their magnetic bases allow them to stick directly to the front of your saw, so they are always within reach.
When pulling wood through the blade on a table saw, these push sticks were made to assist with narrow cuts. They cannot slip, so it is vital that they do It is difficult for me to keep a narrow piece of wood parallel to the fence when I'm cutting it. These aren't trustworthy, so I can't rely on them. However, the manufacturer clearly does not know what he is doing when it comes to woodworking, as he attached a rubber pad to the 90 degree end of the pusher, but it would have been great if he did.
It is a pleasure to use these sticks. The push stick of the table saw was chipped when I took a tiny piece off pushing a narrow board through the table saw. There was a possibility that my finger was involved! When you are working close to the blade, make sure to use push sticks. Although it is unlikely I would have placed my hand so close, it is better to be safe rather than sorry. As soon as I get a chance, I plan on purchasing.
The rip fences are right where I need them when I need them, so I can put them where I need them once they're there. When I know I will be cutting something that might get chewed up on the cut, I usually make my own and still do to this day. These are safe cutting sticks I always use. They make my saw safer. And the price for TWO is too good to resist. It saved me a lot of time since I wasn't having to make anything!.
We usually use random pieces of wood and need to cut indentations into each. Plastic push sticks reduce the time it takes to find and make a new push stick by about one minute. Shop managers will find these gadgets very useful and they will speed up production.
