Questions & Answers

113- 244510 . Is it possible that the tires will fit this vehicle?

They have been used to replace the tires on a craftsman.

Is it possible to use Wen 3959 with it?

probably.

Is this compatible with the Tradesman 9" model 8166?

I have a Tradesman 8166L, which is perfect for me. To get the wheel covers to stretch enough, I had to soak them in hot water, and it was still a struggle to get them on, but they worked out fine.

This appears to be for a variety of brands; would this fit a 9" Genesis bandsaw? Is this something that all people experience?

Many 9-inch bandsaws will fit in it. The "tire" is 1/2 inch wide and 3/16 inch thick, if my memory serves me correctly. Since you're looking for "new tires" for your Genesis bandsaw, I'm guessing your current "tires" are worn or broken. My old tire had a puncture and needed to be replaced. It's simple enough to measure the width and thickness of your existing bandsaw tires, which arrived in less than 18 hours thanks to Amazon Prime. I softened them by boiling them for ten minutes. Putting the first tire on was a bit of a challenge for me. But, having learned from my mistakes, I was able to put the second one on in under three minutes.

They work great if you boil them before installing them
5/5

My band saw's tires were dry rotted because I hadn't used it in a long time. These were exactly what I was looking for and didn't let me down. The quality appears to be excellent. If you boil them first in water, they'll be simple to install. It's simple to put them together while they're still hot. That I can assure you of. It's well worth the extra ten minutes. After installing them, I used the saw for a while and had no problems. I'm very happy with the purchase, and I'm even happier that I boiled them first (trying to emphasize that boiling a bit because I tried to install them right out of the package at first and said some things I regret). I'm sure I'll think about those words while eating a lot of things I shouldn't, so I'm saving you the trouble and extra pounds of food by boiling them first.

Excellent Ryobi BS902 9" replacements
5/5

So far, these tires have met my expectations. They work great in my 9" Ryobi band saw (BS902) after I replaced the original tires. You can find a good instructional video on YouTube by searching for "Ryobi 901 tire replacement. " I used a lot of the ideas from there, though it wasn't exactly like mine. Taking out the band saw wheels makes this job a lot easier, so I strongly advise doing that first. br>br>Mounting: br>I clamped the tire to the wheel in one spot before prying the rest of it on with a screwdriver. This made installation a breeze, and I didn't have to boil or heat them as some people suggested. br>br>Stretch uniformly: br>After installing the tire, I removed the clamp and inserted the screwdriver shaft between the tire and the rim. Then I went around the wheel with the screwdriver a few times to make sure the tire was evenly stretched. br>br>Tire seating:br>After that, I double-checked that the tires were properly seated in the wheel grooves. Because they're a tight fit in the BS902 groove, I rolled the wheel on a concrete floor and pushed down hard with my hands to force the tire into the groove. br>br>I reinstalled the wheels and adjusted everything after they were mounted. Since then, it's been running smoothly. They are highly recommended, and I would purchase them again.

Yes, you must boil them first! These will fit a WEN 9" 3939T, in case anyone was curious
5/5

br>It's most likely any WEN 9" Bandsaw. br>I was unable to locate that information, despite the fact that it now appears to be obvious. br>br>And, yes, I'll add my voice to the chorus of others who recommend boiling them. br>They are simple to put on. br>br>For a laugh, I tried installing them without first boiling them. br>I'm sure there are many powerful men and women out there who could do it if they really needed to, but why go to the trouble if you can put your kettle on in 5 minutes? The takeout; br>br> It's as simple as that.

I didn't boil them because they fit perfectly and the Delta SM400 runs smoothly
5/5

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question about whether or not these tires needed to be sanded or crowned. They worked fine, and when installed on Delta SM400 wheels, they don't need to be crowned or sanded. With the new rubber/plastic tires, my SM400 is a little quieter and smoother than before. So far, Blade has performed admirably - If anything changes, I'll let you know. br>br>All I had to do to get them on was tie one end of the tire to the wheel with nylon string and then stretch the tire over the rim slowly. Someone in a YouTube video ties two opposite ends of a tire to a wheel and then rolls the rest of the tire onto the wheel with a dowel from a drill. I was planning on doing that, but when I got to the opposite end of the wheel to tie the tire down, it stayed put, so I just kept going. It only took a few seconds to stretch the tire over the rim, and I did it on both the top and bottom wheels. The key is to secure one end so you can work on the tire with both hands free.

Before you put these on, boil them
5/5

I followed the advice of another reviewer. It's not easy to get bandsaw "tires" to fit. To soften them up, I followed the advice of the reviewers and put them in boiling water for ten minutes. Even so, to get them to fit over the wheel, I had to stretch them out like exercise bands. I spent about 20 minutes fitting the tire on the first wheel, and then I really stretched the second wheel. It took me about three minutes to finish the job. They should be boiled- They'll continue if you bulk up. Quality appears to be satisfactory. br>br> I appreciated being able to get back in business with my hobby nine-inch bandsaw just one day after ordering the product, and I appreciated being able to do so.

The tires from a band saw Appear to be in good working order, and would make an excellent replacement
5/5

It is extremely difficult to set up. I didn't take off either the upper or lower wheels. I gathered ideas for installation from a variety of YouTube videos. Zip ties were used, as well as a large flat blade screwdriver. I tried putting them in direct sunlight for a while to warm them up, but I'm not sure if that helped or if more heat should have been applied to help them stretch out. Overall, I'm pleased with the installation and the finished product.

It was a perfect match
4/5

It was the perfect fit for my Delta. To make installation go more smoothly, I followed the advice to boil them for about 10 minutes. They went on easily, and the blade is quiet and precise. Because it was just installed, I can't yet give it a 5-star rating for longevity.

My Craftsman 137 is compatible with this part
5/5

214130 My Craftsman 137 is compatible with this part. 214130 The bandsaw had broken or missing tires, which I had inherited. These are a perfect fit for the 9" wheels. With the help of a clamp, I was able to get them on in a few minutes. They appear to have a long shelf life.
