It fits snugly. Although there were no instructions, the installation appeared to be straightforward. Ensure that the wheel groove is thoroughly cleaned; I used a sturdy rag held in place while rotating the wheel to ensure that no remnants of the old tire rubber remained. This was accomplished without the use of water. I used a flat blade screwdriver to slip the tire over the wheel rim, similar to how a bicycle tire is slipped onto the wheel. Because the wheel groove was slightly narrower than the tire width, I had to press the tire into the inner rim with the shank of my screwdriver. Turn the wheel until the inner rim is visible all the way around. This created a slight convex surface on the tire, which was necessary for tracking the saw blade accurately. Adjust the blade tension and centering as necessary, then start cutting. I was able to get it to work.
Using an old band saw to cut metal. The urethane tires are snugly fitted to the 12 x 3/4 inch wheels. They'll have to be stretched to fit. I first limbered them up by immersing them in boiling water; the saw now runs much more smoothly. Blade moves in a steady and silent manner. There appears to be no risk of splitting at the joint where the ends of the tires are joined. There's no sign of compression after three weeks. There is no evidence of a blade indent. I would purchase this item again.
It was a tight fit. It takes some time and effort to set up. It was easier with the wheel in the vice.
These new bandsaw tires were very appealing to me. My old Delta 12" bandsaw was a perfect match for them. There were no instructions when it arrived, but I was able to figure out how to use it after some research. It's simple to find 'how to' instructions on the internet.
The natural rubber bands on a used 12" Craftsman bandsaw had dry rotted when I bought it. These appeared to be a few hairs too wide at first, but after wrestling them on, they stretched out just a tad and became a perfect snug fit.
