Questions & Answers

I'm curious if this will work with Kreg's saw stops and top trak fence. ?

The Micro-Kreg is a miniature Kreg screwdriver that is The Kreg Band Saw Fence Adjuster is only for use with the Kreg Band Saw Fence.

Is it compatible with the Bosch RA1181 benchtop router table?

It's designed to be used with the Kreg band saw fence. I suppose it would work if you had the Kreg band saw fence on your router table. If you have a "T" track on your router table that looks exactly like the Kreg fence but you're not sure where it should go, The protruding threaded shaft is screwed into the fence, and when you want to move it, you unclamp the fence and tighten the black thumb knob, then rotate the Knurled knob on the threaded shaft to move it, then reclamp the fence and make your cut.

There are a few issues
3/5

This is such a simple product that it shouldn't be too difficult to make properly. The one I got had a plastic insert in the female adjustment threads, making thumb adjustments nearly impossible. The problem was resolved after I ran a tap through. br>The next issue is: I have a Kreg band saw fence that works perfectly. However, until the fence knob is tightened down, there is a small amount of "play" in the parallel alignment with the blade (which isn't a big deal). The problem is as follows: What is the purpose of having a micro-finance institution? If the fence is going to move several times more than that when it is properly locked in place by the fence adjustment know, then the adjustment is supposedly accurate to five-thousands. br>At the end of the day, both the micro- and macro-scale The adjuster and the fence do exactly what they're supposed to, but they don't get along.

Precision Trak Crosscut Sled can now be added to your cart
5/5

Despite the fact that the Micro Adjuster wasn't designed to work with the Precision Trak Crosscut Sled, I was able to incorporate it with some ingenuity. I went out and purchased a 1/4-inch thick piece of wood. I screwed a 20 weld nut (a T-shaped nut with a large flange) onto the micro adjuster and slid it along the rail to press against the Sled's stop. Then, since the nut was in the right place, I added a drop of glue and glued it to the stop. After that, I unscrewed the micro adjuster and reinforced the nut's connection to the stop with epoxy. It is now fully functional.

If everything else is in order, it'll work out perfectly! I used an older Grizzly 14" bandsaw to mount the Kreg fence
5/5

It worked out so well that this old man was having difficulty putting the fence up where I needed it. So I figured this would be beneficial, and it was. I can close the fence by hand and use the micro adjuster to make minor adjustments. It was perfect for constructing a 4" long cedar bench for a dollhouse. It was necessary to reduce the size of some of the pieces to 1. 6 mm x 3 mm to fit into backrest frame slot. If the fence is properly aligned, it works very smoothly and is simple to adjust. In addition, the table is waxed on a consistent basis.

It can be beneficial, but it is not required
5/5

It's not bad at all. The thumb wheel is a little small, but it does the job. Attached to the fence on my Kreg router table. When making moldings and other parts that require multiple passes, it has enough stroke that I can extend it all the way to get the fence flush with the outer cutter edge, then retract it a few turns each pass until it lines up with the cutter bearing. Do I require it? br>br> No, but it is affordable and effective, so I like it.

Exceptional Concept- There is room for improvement
5/5

For my Kreg band saw fence, I purchased a micro adjuster. I had a lot of trouble turning the micro adjustment knob at first. I continued to "chase" the threads, using a good lubricant and adjusting the fence rail just ahead of the adjuster. In one direction (shortening the cut width), I was able to get it to work with some ease. I couldn't figure out why the micro adjuster's locking knob was causing binding and making the adjustment difficult to use. Tightening the locking knob on the adjuster should be done with light pressure. I did make a mental note of the micro-aggressions. My crosscut saws (table saw sled and miter saw) can benefit from the adjuster. Because it fits into any T track, a threaded "stop" appears to be a good idea. In any case, the device's concept is fantastic- However, it could be better. I'd give the concept a five-star rating if it weren't for the app. Both the price and the quality are satisfactory. Those who enjoy tool accessories will love this. EDIT. br>br> Now is the time to give it five stars. Due to "binding" between the adjuster and the fence, it is difficult to turn the adjust knob. For smooth action, the fence and adjuster must be perfectly aligned (which is unlikely). A 10 in threaded rod 1/4 x 20 was used to unbind the adjust knob. Rod is connected to the fence as well as the micro adjuster (via a flex coupling at the rod-to-micro adjuster interface). It is beneficial to use an adjuster joint). Working in both directions is now very simple, and there is no binding. It is possible that fence-building will be restricted. necessitating the use of a threaded rod with a shorter length of thread.

It functions, but not to its full potential
3/5

It's a good deal for the price, but I prefer performance over price on many items, including this one, where critical cut adjustments are the goal. This device could be a lot better, easier to use smoothly and quickly. br>br>It's a finicky little device, as evidenced by the other reviews that complain about how difficult it is to use. According to one reviewer, the adjustment wheel was difficult to turn because the screw was binding. That is something I agree with. Tightening the T-shirt is impossible. a micro-controller a lot of the time with the adjuster If you tighten it too much, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to turn the wheel. I discovered that by just barely tightening up the micro-screw, I was able to easily turn the wheel and adjust the fence. T-shirt of the adjuster handle. That was an easy way to move the fence. br>br>Contrary to the assertions of other reviewers, I do not need to remove the T-shirt entirely. Using the micro-handle, remove the fence. On my Rikon 14" Deluxe, I have an adjuster attached. I simply loosen everything up a little and slide it off the rail's end. Perhaps it's a saw-specific issue, but I have plenty of room on the left side to slide it off the rail, and it's certainly doable on the right side on any saw. br>br>The three-star rating comes from the device's finickiness and the fact that it could be a lot better and easier to use in a variety of ways. For quick and easy operation, the wheel should be larger and more clearly marked. The level of tightening used to secure the device in place should have no bearing on ease of operation. br>br>I'll probably keep the device and use it on the bandsaw, but I'm not going to buy another to use on the router table or other places where an adjusting tool would be useful. I'd return it if it were more expensive, but the price is about right for what it's worth in my opinion.

Micro- The adjuster was flawless
5/5

I built my own router table and had to modify the adjuster with a 1/4 - inch drill bit. I wanted to be able to fine-tune my router fence, so I bought the Micro-Micro-MicroMicroMicroMicroMicroMicroMicroMicro The Thumb Wheel of the Adjuster was designed so that each mark represents 5/1000 of an inch of fence movement. However, because my adjustment is moving the fence that is fixed at the far end and the bit is in the middle, it is zero. 0025, which makes the adjustment more precise.
