Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the guide rod's diameter. ?

It appears to be about 11/16"" in diameter, but the hole (which I couldn't get to) is probably 3/4"" in diameter. I recommend you contact Grizzly about it. If we're referring to the rod that connects the rizer to the rizer,

Is this compatible with the Ridgid BS14002?

It's likely that it won't fit out of the box, but it's VERY simple to modify the riser block with a 1/2" metal drill bit (drill shallow holes so the saw's nipples align). I installed my delta, modified the block, and everything else worked fine for me as well.

What is the riser block's measurement?

6"Hx3. 25"Dx4. 5"W was a perfect fit for my Craftsman BS from Taiwan.

Do they make a white block for the Grizzly G0555P?

They don't sell them in white, so I used Krylon COLORmaxx Satin Ivory Spray Paint and Primer, which was almost an exact match for my Polar Bear Series.

Excellent quality, but not compatible with current Harbor Freight saws (2017 models)
5/5

Although the kit appears to be well-made, it does not fit the most recent version of the Harbor Freight Woodworking Bandsaw (60564). Although the mounting holes on the block are in the opposite corners of the saw, you can drill your own into both pieces of your saw. Just keep an eye on the alignment. The guide rod is also closer to 7/8" in diameter, whereas the Harbor Freight saw uses a 3/4" rod. Next, while the black blade guard in the kit is aluminum and the HF one is plastic, this one is thicker and comes into contact with the blade as it exits the guard and enters the top wheel. In addition, the blade guard does not sit flush on the two mounting pegs, necessitating washer shimming. The Harbor Freight saw came with a blade that appears to be of similar quality.

Despite its softness, the mounting tabs are easily bent
5/5

Installed on a Rigid 14002 14" band saw with a 93-degree angle of attack. 1/2" wide bands It took me less than an hour to put it together. I had to ream out the locating pin recesses to get rid of the excess powder coat, but otherwise it was a perfect fit. The long blade guard is made of metal, which is more durable than the original plastic version. The red adjustable blade guard is also made of metal, but it's a bit flimsy and bends easily at the mounting tabs. Two different size wrenches are required to tighten the bolt and nut, and getting into the recesses to do so is difficult. Although the blade appears to cut well, it was replaced with a Timberwolf 3423VPC 2/3 tpi low tension re-sharpening blade. blade for a saw A tension spring from a Cobra was also added. I broke the tension casting as a result of the square nut rotating in the slot and binding on the threads, but I believe it's a weak link. There will be a replacement soon.

28-Fit delta 206 My delta 28-footer fit perfectly
5/5

All in all, 206 is a good score. Drilling pin holes in the block was all that was required. As a result, you'll need a metal bit that measures 5/16" in diameter. It is extremely simple. It took about an hour for me to figure everything out. I'm going to need some black spray paint right now. Sorry, grizzly, but hunter green isn't a cool power tool accent color. br>br>Part missing, but grizzly got it out faster than the kit itself shipped, so I can't blame them. It was a pleasant return to service.

It's a nice product, but if you own a Harbor Freight bandsaw, it's not for you
4/5

This appears to be a well-made product; the riser block is made of heavy cast iron, and I'm confident it would perform admirably on the saw for which it was designed. I was confident that this product would fit my Harbor Freight central machinery 14 inch woodworking bandsaw, model 60564, after reading several reviews on various websites. However, after opening the package, disassembling my bandsaw, and attempting to use this product, it became clear that the Riser block would not fit. The alignment pins are in the wrong places, and the long bolt holding it all together appears to have no way of actually connecting the Riser block to the saw. The long bolt is supposed to sit in the corresponding notch in the metal on the Riser block, but it is missing. Overall, this appears to be a good product for anyone who owns a Grizzly saw or any other saw that this may work on, but if you own a Harbor Freight 14-inch circular saw, this appears to be a poor choice. You will be let down by this inch woodworking bandsaw. That said, if anyone knows which Riser block system will work for the Harbor Freight saw with that part number, please leave a comment on this review and tell me what I should get.

For the G0555LX model, this is not the case
4/5

This kit was purchased for a G0555LX. The extension bar isn't threaded, which I discovered after redrilling the holes to line up with the pegs and bolting everything on. So I contacted Grizzly, and they informed me that there is a specific kit (Grizzly T25555 Riser Block Kit) for the LX version with the threaded bar (Grizzly T25555 Riser Block Kit). Son of . br>br>Hello, Amazon and Grizzly Bear- It would be a great idea to include this information in the title, as this model does, so that people don't buy the wrong kit, thinking the parts for the G0555 and G0555LX are the same, and end up returning it, as I did. br>br>Everything in the box looked fantastic, and it most likely would have been if I had the right bandsaw. I deducted one star because 1) the other kit was not mentioned in the description to direct you to the correct one, and 2) I had to drill out the peg holes to make it fit due to the powder coat getting into the holes. The return process on Amazon, on the other hand, was simple.

A fantastic upgrade
5/5

This item was delivered around 2 p. m. by my friendly UPS man. 00 p. m. , and by 3 p. m. , At 30 p. m. , I had reassembled my saw. I use a Ridgid saw, and everything worked perfectly. After the bottom half of the saw became loose, I rigged a strap over a garage door track to keep the upper half of the saw in place. I was able to get the riser block in place and the top half aligned, but I needed two more steadying hands, which the LOML provided. I repainted the block gray to match, as did another reviewer. br>br>Because the bolt head and nut are of different sizes, I used a large adjustable wrench on the head and a 15/16 wrench on the nut. That was, without a doubt, the most difficult obstacle. br>br>In order to install the new blade (6TPI /-), I lowered the upper wheel as low as it would go. I made sure the blade was properly tensioned and tilted. I turned it on and cut a piece of paper to see how it worked. Everything works as it should, with minimal noise and vibration. Grizzly, from A.

I gave my riser block a 3 because it was so far off that I had to rummage through my shop for something to shim it with that was more expensive than shim stock
3/5

It had to have been Monday when it was made. No, I didn't call Grizzley because I was too excited to play with my new toy, and I'm not implying that all blocks are the same. Everything is working fine now, but I should have double-checked it first; the blade guards are all in place, and the blade itself is adequate but not exceptional; after all is said and done, it all does its job, but not without a snag. If you aren't handy in these situations, this could be a reason to skip the block or go with a larger machine, but the cost difference would be significant, and as far as I can tell, this block is the only option.

Perfect for my Grizzly G0555P Polar Bear Series Bandsaw, 14-Inch Inch
5/5

This was the ideal match for my 14" Polar Bear Series Bandsaw. My resawing capacity was doubled thanks to the riser block. As an added bonus, the kit included an aluminum blade guard to replace the saw's cheap plastic guard. It took only 10 minutes to complete the installation.
