These were a perfect fit for my circular saw. I installed one without hearing the tire at all, and another after soaking for a few minutes in hot tap water. The heated one was definitely easier, but I believe ore is the real key. elongation Place a 1" dowel or something similar upright in your bench vise, loop the tire over it, and pull as hard as you can a few times. The saw runs smooth and true now that the new tires have been installed!.
The old tires had rotted away from the wheels completely. Delta 28- The majority of the 195 parts have been retired. These are exactly what I needed. Better than the originals, at least in my opinion! It's great to see that companies like this still stock replacement parts for these vintage tools. I miss my old 14", but the restoration of this old 10" for a few dollars feels great. This book comes highly recommended.
Use wire ties to help install the tires on the band saw wheels, according to the instructions that came with the tires. That was a great idea. Any other method, in my opinion, is almost impossible. (Please don't inquire. ).
These bands were a perfect fit for my old Delta band saw. Before you try to install them, soak them in hot water for a few minutes. Stretch them out a little and use zip ties to keep the band on the wheel while you do so. They aren't easy to put on, but that means they will fit more snugly and properly.
The trick was to stretch the band as you went and have a second person (wife) squeeze the band as you went so it stayed stretched while you put on the rest. It cuts great now and the blade doesn't jump around as much.
"Self, these won't fit," I told myself until I watched a YouTube video on installation. After watching a few installations and taking my time, I was able to complete the installation. Excellent value for the money.
This is appropriate for the 28-inch tall person. As advertised, 195 fine. Allow to soak for 20 minutes in 170°F hot water, then stretch like crazy to get it on.
