Questions & Answers

When it comes to cutter length, what does it mean?

You can find CMT 806 in the CMT library. The 11B flush trim bit features a double bearing and two screws A cutting length of an inch and a 1/2-inch width This product has a 4-inch overall length and a 1-inch shank Friday, May 16.

What is the place of manufacture?

The Italian Republic

How do you make plunge cuts if the end bearing needs to be removed?

While the bottom bearing can definitely be removed, plunge cuts are not allowed for the bearing stud, which means there is no way to remove the bottom bearing. In the case of plunge cutting, I would strongly recommend an upcut spiral bit. If you're cutting a part that is 2" long, regardless of what bit you're using, I would not recommend doing a full length cut. By cutting sequentially in an upward direction, the depth should be increased. Please accept my sincere thanks for your help.

Do you use a 1/4 or a 1/2 shank?

I love using this bit because it is 1/2" and is a beast.

Do not buy Freud or any other author

There is no second option. A review of a router bit was unlike anything I ever expected to do, but this was a whole new experience for me. Perhaps the bit was weighted differently than it should have been. I could hear the bit of my router as it came up to speed, but it did not sound like it was struggling. My Bosch bits are similar to those of Freud, and I have several of Bosch's bits. There were no tears out, and the machine just worked like a charm. It was cutting extremely dense exotic wood, and I had no tear out, and it didn't demand a lot of effort. It took me a while to understand why the Bosch bits had bad cut quality and the Freud bits did not appear to take advantage of the 1/2 shank by adding some weight to improve the centrifugal properties. As it is. The reason this is hands down a superior product is beyond me I don't know why. Neither second nor third place were awarded. As if you didn't know where the line "there is no second place" came from, it was the Queen of England at the inaugural worldwide yacht race in England. When the American yacht came into view heading for the finish, she immediately asked, "Who's in second place?"? As the spotter looked around he could not find any other sailboats. He replied, "Your Majesty, no other boats can compete with us!" There was nothing like the America's Cup back then. It's the oldest contested race today!.

Trim a tree with this awesome tool
5/5

As a rough cut lumber finisher, I purchased this bit so that I can do some cleanup after rough cutting my lumber. Four inches are the overall length of the router bit from top to bottom It is 1/8". The full blade length of the cutting blade An inch and a half diameter and a 1/2" shank are the dimensions of the bit. You can place the template either at the left or the right end and cleanup will occur regardless of the end placement. It is the smaller bit I purchased In July 2016, there was a new version of a new version. As such, I have no complaints about these parts and will buy them again if I need them.

Hence the good quality of the In a nutshell, Thanks to a simple template, I was able to adjust the size of these mahogany chair parts in minutes instead of spending hours sanding
5/5

In light of their age, they are 2 Considering the thickness of 3/4", a top bearing was on one pass and a lower bearing on the other. There will only need to be a few light sandings to achieve a smooth finish. Using this bit when doing this kind of curved work comes with a lot of risk and must be handled with extreme caution. For this type of application, at least two years of woodworking experience is highly recommended. To prevent fingers from being minced, I would have used the router fence with a shield if this had been a straight cut.

The quality is comparable to that of The router bit I used to use has been from Whiteside and Freud, but I tried this one out because I had to get it for a single project, and since it was $5-$10, I decided it was worth a shot
5/5

There are brands on sale that are $10 cheaper than those I normally Upon receiving this product, I was very pleased with how well made, sharp and precise it was. As a result of my experience with this bit and the way it performed, I also bought a rabbeting bit with a 1/4" shaft and found the CMT router bits to be the same quality as the bit I have previously purchased.

Good quality bit that works as intended Yonico is not based on an operating system
5/5

Despite having been a junk part, this router bit replaced a Yonico 14134 Flush Trim Router Bit. The flush trim 1 was obtained. The Bosch 1617 cuts large mortises in 2x12 with a depth of 5". Since I have used routers for years, I know not to bottom out the bit when installing it and how to clamp it in properly. I noticed that the Yoniko bit vibrated violently the moment I switched on the router. As much as I can trim nonetheless As the bit started working its way up, the router started to lose internet. The collar is ruined and burnished beyond repair. A shaft measurement was taken. On both ends, Yoniko has an eccentric appearance, is tapered, and is I would like to send you 490. The CMT bits have been replaced with the new collect. I had no problems with it. As well, CMT has a shear cut, while Yonico has a straight cut. The Yoniko bearings have been removed A bit of the file has been thrown out. It is always when you pay that you get what you get, not always to get what you paid As a whole, the shafts at CMT are consistently good. The belt was tightened and remained so. I love the way this was cut. Living and learning is a part of life. You can get cheap stuff if you buy.

This is the oak-type tree Bits that perform well
5/5

It was necessary for me to make a puzzle box door. To make the frames for the doors, I constructed three templates It consists of a circle, a square, and a square with an arched opening. As I made it out of 3/4 oak ply, this bit was very easy to use on each of them. Having made templates for the doors, I was able to build the actual doors with the templates. Approximately 3/4 of this cabinet is made of As soon as I set my router on my table, I hot glued the door templates to the oak, then routed the outside of the door running the bottom bearing along the top template to achieve a perfect fit. The final product took more than one pass, but it is worth the effort. I think this is a pricey bit but it is the best money I've spent so far. In the past, I ordered a similar Yonico bit but it didn't perform well for my purposes. This is a highly recommended product.

The router table needs this much space, it is only feasible for larger You need to use a slower router when using this bit because it is a large piece
5/5

It can be used for pattern following and/or edge trimming due to its top and bottom bearings. The bits from CMT generally last well, and I am a retired woodworker who works out of my shop almost every day. I have a high use rate for bits and tools, since I am in there almost every day. The shop is not a production facility, but it's also not a weekend warrior.

A cut up or a cut down can be done with the 806 11b
5/5

My goal was to smooth out the edges of the oak stock that I was using for mission-style red oak There is a half-angle angle about halfway between the back legs, which are 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". There are a number of cross pieces with an arch cut into them. To make my template, I used 1/4" MDF. My band saw cut out about 1/8" of the lines when I cut the pieces. The two bearing cutters came from CMT, and I installed them in the 2HP router mounted in the router table I made. There's nothing else like it. It's a huge, awesome As a result, the 1 1/2" solid stock plus the 1/4" template were easily handled and all saw blade marks were removed, leaving a smooth finish without sanding. In addition to two CMT bits that I ordered, I received a box for storage that was made of clear plastic and a sturdy bit holder. The large size of these bits should be very enjoyable once you get used to them. Their construction is well done, with sharp carbide cutters, smooth ball bearings, and the bottom bearing can be removed when there is a need to use a handheld router to make an overcut. While I am a hobbyist, not a professional, the parts I selected suit me very well for what I am looking for. They are fun to use and I plan on using them again soon.
