My son and I are working on converting a 55 Chevy 2dr HT Bel Air and a 65 Baja Bug to IRS rear suspension. We're also lowering the tranny for more travel (12 inches) and beefing up the cage with a custom rear bumper made by my son. As you can imagine, we go through these things quickly, so I decided to give this brand a try, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that, despite their lower price, they last just as long. Return on investment is excellent. I took some pictures of the buggy fab so you could see what we do with it.
Ladies! If your man buys these, he'll go completely insane. We were renovating and needed to cut out a pipe, so we ordered these cutting wheels, primarily for the price, and he was ecstatic. He went out to cut that one pipe, and TWO hours later, he's in the kitchen, asking if there's anything else he can cut. So it worked, I inquired? This is fantastic! It was extremely comfortable to wear. It gets to the heart of the matter! I'd like to cut something else because it's going so quickly. What do you have that I could use to make something? Men! He's content. (Sigh) Excellent value for money!.
I bought this large box of cut off wheels to use with my Dewalt angle grinder with a 11,000 RPM. Because these wheels are so thin, they don't cut a very wide slot and don't remove nearly as much steel as a wide cutter would. I put them to the test on some 1/4-inch plywood. inch thick steel (as seen in the photo) cut really well and the wheel lasted a long time. It appears to be just as long-lasting as the name-brand equivalent. They're also reasonably priced.
These are my go-to tools for cutting light to thin steel. They performed admirably in my grinder, cutting through some 23 gauge steel with ease. That gauge, I believe, was the culprit. I believe it is 3/32" thick. They were durable and lasted a reasonable amount of time. A big thumbs up.
I would order these again and tell a friend about them. Great quality, and at $12 for 20 pieces, we're talking about prices that are even lower than Harbor Freight!.
I purchased these and will never go back to my old ones. These are much thinner, cut better, and last a lot longer. I grabbed four to take to my project, but I only got through the first.
There was no visible wear on the 32 5/16 carriage bolts I cut. It appears to be as durable as any cutting disc I've used before. It was unquestionably a good find at a reasonable price.
If you don't trough the tool to the floor, these blades will perform admirably, but if you do, they will easily break. If you just cut, they will perform admirably.
