This is a sham
This is not a set of solid cutting wheels. They wouldn't work well on concrete, in my opinion. They're excellent for wood shaping as well as metal/welding clean-up. These are fine for sharpening sheers, lawnmower blades, and other edged objects, but I'm not sure they'd hold up to concreate. They're reasonably priced, and if you're smoothing out concrete without trying to do a lot of shaping, they "might" work.
For weld cleanup, these are the only wheels I use now. Grinding wheels were no longer in use by me. I have all four grit levels, with the 60 being a good choice for general steel cleanup. I might use a 40 on a particularly heavy weld. I used to only use Dewalt tools, but for the price, these are excellent.
They're not designed for wood, and I imagine they'd clog up quickly. I also imagine they'd be far too aggressive for wood.

Stainless steel disk disintegrated after gentle cleaning. When you use it, the grit starts to fly off.
I'm a metal artist who works with Dewalt flap disks most of the time. I had a large project that would necessitate a lot of weld cleanup, and I was put off by the $6 per tool price of dewalts, so I decided to try these instead because I could get ten for the price of two dewalts. I noticed very little difference after only a few hours of use. They have a good cut and don't fade as quickly as the cheap ones. These will be my go-to discs for the foreseeable future!.
So, for decades, I've been buying flap wheels from big box stores for $4 to $9 each, and they've always seemed to last a long time. So I figured that buying a ten pack of these 60grit for $16 would be a better deal even if they only lasted half as long. Boy was I surprised when these suckers lasted at least twice as long as the DeWalt ones I had been using for nearly 25% the cost per I had been using for n When my current ones wear out, I'll definitely purchase more. br>br>For context, I do a fair amount of DIY metal working/welding/fabrication and will purchase some of my metal from a local scrap yard, so it's understandable if it's rusty at first. I use these on a 20V DeWalt 4 1/2" angle grinder.
I needed to replenish my welding supplies, so I purchased these. They were reasonably priced, perhaps slightly less so than hf with a coupon. So far, I've used a few, and they appear to last longer than the cheap hf 36grit hf ones. br>br> My Bosch 4 1/2 angle grinder fit perfectly. I've also used others that were significantly more expensive, such as Dewalt and another brand whose name I don't recall but which could be reduced. There wasn't much of a difference between those and these in my opinion. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat. I go through flap discs quickly, so I'll be needing more of these in the near future.
I've tried a lot of different brands and usually have good luck with NEIKO (usually better than most), but these don't last as long as the other brands I use - Perhaps an outlier, a quality control issue, or something else entirely, but the issue of longevity is evident on the sheet metal, automotive frames, and parts we work on.
When I purchased these, I was a little concerned. I'd made that decision based on the price, as I do a lot of woodworking and have gone through a lot of disks from the big box stores around here. These are at least as good as Gator's and much less expensive; I've been using the first disk for over a month. It's almost time to replace it, but I'm interested in seeing how far it can go. Last week, I used it to sharpen mower blades on two different machines before returning to woodworking. Like a champ, you're standing tall.
I was under a lot of pressure to find this many wheels for the price. br>br>However, they don't last very long before you need to replace them. br>br>Not recommended for those working on a large project; however, I am satisfied with my purchase. Next time, I'll just pony up and spend more money; the cost of all of these adds up to one or two good wheels.
br>I really like the flat and angle profile designs, as well as the various grit sizes! br>br>I value a grinding disc that isn't so cheap that it disintegrates, and I think they're holding up well to the job. br>br>Price makes them a great value vs. life for me. br>I'm going to buy some more!.
