Benchmark Abrasives 5" Aluminium Oxide Quality Thin Cut Off Wheel for Metal and Stainless Steel 0.045" Thick 7/8" Arbor - 50 Pack

I bought these to cut apart steel rectangular tubing pallets through the welds and disassemble them. I've tried several other brands of 4 1/2" cutting discs and have had problems with them having a short life, slow cutting, and even exploding. Not fun. Based on the reviews on Amazon, I decided to try these Benchmark Abrasives cutoff wheels, and they're the best I've found. The extra half-inch in diameter not only makes them last longer, but it also allows them to cut deeper and at a shallower angle when they're new, which is very useful in my application. The abrasive's thinness and aggressiveness allow it to cut quickly with less pressure, extending its life and making it ideal for use with battery-powered tools. And if I make a mistake and pinch one, it stays together rather than exploding, making them safer to use. I'm on my second 50-card pack, and it won't be the last.

For the past 20 years, I've been welding and fabricating, and that type of work necessitates the use of a cut-off saw. away from the steering wheel Purchasing discs can be costly, but I happened upon these. Amazing. They hold up much better than I expected (for the price), don't blow apart, and are thin enough to make close cuts. They're well worth the money. I've gone through four boxes of these and will continue to purchase them as long as they don't change. This is an excellent product.

I was running low on cutting wheels and decided to try a new brand; however, I regret purchasing 50 of them. I decided to give them a try because of the reasonable price. They wear out quickly; in comparison to one of my original wheels, I went through three. (which cost a bit more). I suppose what you pay for is what you get.

I've worked as a fabricator and a welder for a number of years. I've experimented with a variety of cutting techniques and materials. This set of discs has left a lasting impression on me. They cut quickly and efficiently, and while an experienced operator is required to ensure that a disc lasts, they are well worth the investment. Excellent value for money, as well as a nice, quick cut. What is the significance of four stars? Because they are a little unbalanced and vibrate a little. Apart from that, I think they're fantastic.

I've been working with steel for over 30 years and have used everything from low-cost harbor freight to high-end materials that cost a lot of money. They are insignificant in comparison. I used an angle cutter to cut a 6x6 3/16 wall tube into six pieces. Using only one blade With the second, I was able to complete the project.

Most thin cut-outs have this problem. off-wheels) and you can't go wrong for the price. For example, I've cut 6X6X3/16 box steel, from which the wheels will cut about 1 1/2 pieces before replacing them. Other wheels can make nearly three cuts for the same price as this one.

off the tracks I had been working on a 30" diameter x 1/2" thick wall tank with another brand, but when this shipment arrived, I decided to try out the Benchmark wheels. I could not believe my eyes. In comparison to other brands, they cut through the metal like butter on a hot knife. Cutting 1/2" thick steel is a pain, but with the Benchmark wheels, it was a breeze.

For the money, I really like these. Yes, the Walters are fantastic, but they cost a lot more. I don't think I'll spend the money on zip wheels. Yes, if you're talking about grinding discs or flap wheels. I use a lot of these in my work and buy the 100 pack because they last a long time for such a low price.
