Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get these with a 5/8" arbor?

We don't have those in stock, unfortunately.

What disc should I use to get rid of 1/2" thick grout between masonry?

This is a sanding disk that requires the use of a diamond blade.

Is the insert5/8 arbor included with this?

You'll need a 7/8" adapter for this. On a 5/8-inch arbor, to be precise.

What disc should I use to get rid of rust?

A flap disk will remove rust depending on how much you want to remove it, but grits of 40 and 80 will leave deep scratches on metal. Depending on the size of the material, use a wire wheel of 4 inches or smaller. It's just as quick as before, and it won't leave Mark's. The removal of material is better with disks.

The value of time is money, and these are QUICK
5/5

I'm not sure why hard rock stones are still in use. Flap discs are a lot faster, but they're also a lot more expensive than flat discs. The difference between a hard rock and a soft rock is minimal. Because shop supplies are inexpensive and time is valuable, anything that boosts productivity is worth investigating. At all times, one of these flap discs is loaded into at least one of my grinders. br>br>These are a fantastic product that was delivered at a great price by Click Click; they have a lot of flaps and a solid abrasive, so they last a long time and don't vibrate excessively. The 40 grit is an excellent all-around grit. Fabrication is done around the flap disc. Mill scale, beveled edges, burr removal, and some material removal are all possible with this tool. Any type of polishing or similar will be too aggressive. Nothing I do is particularly attractive; instead, it is purely functional. br>br>I will definitely order from you again.

This is something I strongly suggest
5/5

I'm a welder and fabricator, and I like having my own flap discs in case we run out or if I just don't want to look around for the boss to get more, and I'm very happy with these, great value, I bought the standard ones and they last a few days, but I just got the jumbo size and put one on my grinder today, so we'll see how long that one lasts. The only drawback is that it does not spin as smoothly as a Dewalt wheel, for example. I have to grind a lot of welds to keep my work pieces flat or to leave a smooth finish, and I can tell the difference when I use a more expensive wheel, but it's not a big deal. I grind a lot and it doesn't bother me in the least. The image below shows the difference between standard and high density sizes.

Excellent value for money
5/5

I've used it for rust removal, weld cleanup, and some metal shaping (steel; I haven't tried it on aluminum yet). It cuts very quickly at 40 grit, generates less heat than a grinding wheel, and provides better control and a smoother finish. br>br>The best part is the abrasive's lifetime and the disc's overall durability. I eventually wore one out, but it took a long time; however, flat surfaces have an incredibly long life. As the outside edge wears down faster, you lose the ability to get into corners and some cutting speed. br>br>The photo attached shows a disc that has finally worn down to the point of no return. Again, it took a long time, but it stayed balanced the entire time, didn't chip, and everything held together with no glue failure or other issues. I'm very pleased with this product; it's a good value for the money.

It's just as good as name-brand products - a fantastic deal For the past 25 years, I've been using a grinder to create piles of iron dust
5/5

When I went to one of the big box home improvement stores, I just grabbed a couple of flap discs. $5 bucks? Isn't that good? Wrong. Why had I never considered looking on Amazon before? I'm serious. I seem to have squandered a lot of money on big box flap discs over the years. These are fantastic, and each disc costs only a few cents. They're just as good as the "yellow" or "red" brands when it comes to durability. What's more, it's only a tenth of the cost! Buy a dozen and you'll never go back. This is fantastic.

This solution is effective
5/5

I was having a hard time re-enacting the scene in my head. Metal storage doors were installed in a boat marina that had been flooded, causing the wood to swell and jam the doors. I tried everything (too many to list here), and while some of them worked, it was a long and arduous task with no end in sight. I found these flap discs on Amazon for a reasonable price, so if they don't work, it's not a big deal. You can imagine my surprise when the individual jobs were completed one after another in no time; I finished all nineteen doors in the storage area in the time it took me to finish the first five.

On Walnut Bowls, it was a hit
5/5

I'm a novice when it comes to power bowl carving. These sanding flap discs were purchased to aid in the shaping of the bottoms, and they worked well. A few shards of sanding grit grazed my face and arms, but my safety glasses shielded me from harm. I'm guessing that's a problem with all flap discs. I will purchase them again because they cut and shape wood quickly. Just remember to put on all of your protective gear.

I've only used one so far, but it still has a lot of life in it
4/5

It performed admirably for the purpose for which I intended it. I just wish I'd noticed that you can get a set of different grits BEFORE ordering these 80 grit ones, so I could have used different grits when grinding or removing paint or rust or whatever. They should, however, perform admirably in the long run.

It worked great for dealing with crown molding, which I had never done before
5/5

I found it to be excellent for coping crown molding, which I had never done before. I tried a hand coping saw and found it to be time consuming as well as exhausting my arm. I was learning how to cope crown molding by watching videos on You Tube, and they all showed people using hand coping saws, so I tried it that way and found it to be a lot of work. Then I saw a guy on YouTube doing it with a hand grinder and a flap disc, so I went to Amazon and ordered an electric hand cinder and Premium Zirconia Flap Discs, which arrived a few days later. So, after cutting a few test pieces and grinding them as shown in the YouTube video, I started working on my first piece of crown molding, and believe me when I say it was quick and perfect every time, thank God. But, as I previously stated, practice a few times before starting to get a feel for the grinder and to gain confidence, as I did. br>To save you time on YouTube, here's the one I used: [.
