I found it to be useful
5/5

Although many reviewers appear to have had difficulties with this, I'm happy to offer a perspective since I found it to be fairly satisfactory As long as the drill bit spins, drilling through studs at an angle is always problematic because the drill bit wants to walk as it is spun. On this one, the rod bends a little bit, and in my opinion, it balances bending well for maneuverability while staying too rigid so the bit would not grip. There is no such thing as an easy way to run wire through a finished wall. The use of a flexible housing like this is a great solution to an irritating issue. It may be necessary to drill a hole in a piece of wood large enough for your bit to pass through in order to prevent your bit from walking. Once the scrap with the hole is glued to the first stud, you are ready to drill through it. After it dries completely, a great pilot hole will be just where you want it when you return. Once you have drilled through the first stud, the hole will direct your drill bit straight to the remaining studs. I will admit, while I was doing this, I did blow through the drywall on the opposite side of the wall. You take the risk when doing It's the electricians' job to hang drywall before they do their work. My hope is that this will be helpful to someone in the future when keeping realistic expectations about what a bit like this can and cannot You can do it if you have time to prepare and if you take it slowly, but you are not going to accomplish miracles with it.

Trying over and over was quite hopeful, but I was disappointed in the results
3/5

A drill would only go into the wood initially and go no further, it would spin and spin no matter how much pressure I applied to it or how many volts I added, it could not even drill through a 2x4 let alone a wood header in the roof.

It is still too early to call the jury
3/5

This didn't work for me when I attempted to use it. There is a Unlike the sharp point on the knife, it doesn't have a spine. Walking all over the place is what it does. In some models, you may find a screw at the end of the drill. This will anchor the point and pull the drill Because the blunt end allows you to reach the bottom plate even on exterior walls with less risk of snagging, it's ideal to use on exterior walls. In my case, I chose to drill up from the crawl space with a regular spade bit, since it was an easier alternative.

Despite the extension's name, the bit is not secured
3/5

I think this tool is the most useless tool I've ever purchased! I am now permanently stuck with a device that did not work and is permanently glued to my wall. My walls don't have any insulation, and my fire breaks are burned through, and this worthless piece of metal is stuck in there, but it hasn't even bored.

I'm confident that the bit is up to the task
5/5

As a result of mice damaging the existing wiring, I did not need to tear the walls apart to run new BX The only 9/16" bit I could find in a flex that was suitable for the task was this one.

Obviously, this drill is not yet up to the task
3/5

I was unable to drill through my floor joists with its tip because it is not sharp enough. It was hard to make any progress on the drill even though I was pushing as hard as I could.

This is a dangerous and strong weapon
3/5

The longest and also the most useless paragraph if u don't have a clear shot. The pros are that it is long and is sturdy. The cons are not flexible does not have a tip at the front that will keep the drill bit from traveling too far my bit traveled to the floor above the room I was trying to install recessed lighting in. Please be patient. If you are installing recessed lighting, stay away from this. The method may also be applied to other applications where the requirements are.

The pressure needs to be applied to much to get a sharp edge
3/5

In addition to its length, the point would be better if it were sharper to make going through the stud easier. You have to apply a lot of pressure in order for it to function properly.
