In a nutshell, When I ordered this Forstner bit from Fisch, I ordered a few different sizes at once as well. While the video I've included is from a smaller bit, rest assured that the 2" bit still cuts like butter at high speed. The only paddle bits I have are for grabbing down into the wood, not for carving into it. I plan on using them for making a bathroom vanities because they have a spiral groove on the tip to grab into the wood and pull the blades into it. We wind up with a big mess and blown out hole with plenty of space for running electrical wires through new construction studs, but not so good for Forstner bits are the first for which I have ever owned, but I am already glad I spent the extra money on a forged bit from a credible company like Fisch. The bits are so well made and I am confident that with proper care and maintenance they will last a lifetime. I made a stand for the bits I ordered to keep them out of my toolbox or garage drawer where they might get scratched. With this bit, you'll be able to drill a hole more rapidly without skipping or running off center, since they use wave technology which is a hybrid of two other common Forstner bits. My bench top drill press was installed once the bits were installed so I ran them through a few test pieces before using them for the final product, but it did not seem necessary. I used these bits to make quick work of the holes I needed. They are razor sharp. From now on, I am a Fisch fan. I highly recommend it!.
Because I only used it to drill 16 holes, I cannot speak to its longevity, but every single hole cut easily and very cleanly.
Brands will never be the same after this. I was blown away by how fast and accurate this bit was. I'm blown away by it.
It is made well and is sturdy and sharp.
This was just what I needed for cutting clean, 2" holes in 4X4s.

After drilling the third hole, the shaft bent, rendering it useless*. I do not recommend this product.
