There's something magical going on here. As you can see, there is no scale in the photo. The handle is over a foot long, and it's surrounded by helium bags to keep the shipping weight down. It all makes sense. Those airbag packing pillows, I'm sure you've seen. Instead, use helium to fill the balloon. It's not a difficult task.
No, I do not believe that is true. The JT 33 is 1/4 inch, with a 5/16 inch pilot.
It works with both of my drill presses: a Grizzly bench top and a Sears Craftsman floor model. I'm not sure if it will work with the chuck you mentioned.
It should be possible to use 5/16".

What sort of miraculous words does Amazon consider necessary in a chuck key review? Yeah, it does exactly what the product name and description said it would do with my Jacobs 34 chuck. It is, in fact, constructed from the materials stated. It's not made of titanium, uranium, plastic, unobtainium, cheese (or any other dairy product), or a fallen soldier's tears. Because each chuck key appears to be identical, the product image is accurate. They don't have an option to have your child's name engraved on it, but why should they when it's only $10 or so? On a scale of one to ten, I'd say it's a ten.
For getting torque on the chuck, this is a good size. For those who are unfamiliar, using a drill bit to fit in a hole is an easy way to gauge pilot size. Then you'll be able to figure out which chuck key you need. An emergency chuck key can be made out of a drill bit and a screwdriver.
A Craftsman drill press is one of the tools that I own. On the 0, this key works flawlessly. 8 - Chuck size: 16mm x 5/8" The 5/16" pilot is a perfect fit for the chuck. The key teeth perfectly match the chuck and function exactly like the original that I lost; the key appears solid and well made, with no burrs, chips, or other defects. I am overjoyed!.
I assumed Jacob's was still made in the United States, so I assumed it was a Chinese import. Wrong. A second copy is available. It's not the same as Jabob's keys from before. Given the circumstances, it appears to be in good shape. It's still a downer.
My Brand Name drill press came with a key that was made of chinesium - On the first day, the teeth on the OEM key started to wear out. This was a much-needed replacement key. It has a nice positive fit in the Jacobs chuck and is in excellent condition.
Drill with a Turner. I couldn't be happier!.
One star deducted because it's made in China and doesn't feel as good as my own (heavily used) made in the United States chuck key. But it works, and for a lot less money than you'd pay at a HF or HD in your neighborhood.
Fit, on the other hand, was a problem for me. I couldn't find out if it was compatible with my press, so I took a chance. That is not the case. The item is exactly what it says it is, and the quality is satisfactory.
