Radon mitigation requires me to drill through concrete floors daily, so I am coring through concrete slabs. I have used the 4" Bosh core bits for a couple of years now and enjoy them a great deal. Their sturdy and dependable nature has never changed. My Milwaukee SDS Max rotary hammer has always performed well, so it's not like I'm using some cheap rotary hammer that's the problem. The sheer pin that holds the pilot bit snapped off the first time after I bought this hammer. This is not the case after a few minutes of using the product. Having used it four times, half the teeth have likely already fallen out. I think I might try another one. The standard for all jobs has been three inches or less I put 6" of concrete down. The problem is that I'm not happy, and I'm not sure why. It could be that I just got a faulty product, but for the price you'd think they would last longer than a couple of uses. I used to think these core bits last at least two years after purchasing them a few years ago It took me three months to notice the teeth were worn down after constant, daily use. The quality of that brand seems to be inferior, so I'll likely look for something else. The economy is hard and now I'm not able to shell out 100's of dollars every few weeks for a tool that should last a few.
There is only one chance to make it. This 20 minute project turned into two days because you might have angled it wrong or failed to size it. This group of hits has never left me feeling I never will. The 6" that I used took me across a solid slab of poured concrete so flawlessly, it looks like I've been doing this for 20 years already. In comparison to other parts of the atmosphere you can be at risk, there isn't a lot of dust flying around here. There is dust in the bottom, of course, as all things do, but it mostly falls. I think that this is a very impressive product, but it is from What would be different if we were to expect anything else.
There were 26 lights to be installed in brick veneer, so I had to drill holes for the boxes. Using this tool, I was able to complete the task in no time and I now have a clean hole in which to place the boxes. However, you will need to stop before penetrating the back of the brick and break the core to be able to reach the core all the way through.
Concrete foundation needed a bit of a bit so I could run a dryer vent through it. I thought it was very convenient for this job, but it was rather pricey for a one-time.
This bit is awesome, when it comes to coring concrete fast.
My only use for this bit was to drill two holes for dryer vents, but it did so without a problem.
Shipping was quick, the product arrived as described, was a perfect fit for my Bosch hammer, and arrived earlier than expected.
It's hard to beat Bosch when it comes to quality.
