Be careful when you hit them! This is an excellent product! It didn't take me more than an hour to plant more than 50 bulbs. I found it to be a very easy process once I figured it out. When I put in the daffodil bulb, I only had to push the dirt back to remove it from the drill with my sneaker. I thought that trying it in reverse direction was more effective than turning the drill. Using it on the soil was like using The rocks were hard and crusty, so we went right through them. Please take note of this warning Do not press too hard on your wrists, and let the auger do the work for you! Avoid touching tree roots! Getting back on track - big time.
My flower beds are made of sandy soil, so I did not have any issues with it. The experience was nice, but not that impressive. I took it to my friends' house and helped them plant their flower beds. It was slimy and dirty, there was clay, The change did not make any I just put my head down and got to work. You can use good soil around bulbs and make large holes to place the bulbs in. It was so impressive to work with it. We're both older women with less-than-awesome arm strength, and the tool was much easier to handle than we anticipated. It took me less than an hour to place 50 bulbs. The price was well worth it!.
My backyard was recently redone, and I had planned to pot some mums. After reconfiguring my soil, it felt hard to plant I was too tired to do it. I used the drill to make holes in the soil for potting the mums, and it made the process quick and easy. I was able to finish the job in no time. I use it with The lowest setting on the drill will allow you to drill the ground hole to your desired depth. This helps prevent soil accumulation inside the sole as the drill automatically pulls all the soil up. Ensures that the soil is still airy after potting so that roots can grow easily. It's easy to plant now since I don't need to use a shovel—as opposed to before when I had to dig with a shovel. I think the value for money is great. I am very impressed with the quality of this drill. There was no difference in the results when I tried in wet and dry soil. The invention is awesome.
In a nutshell, trick is to use the smaller auger to first drill the hole and then use the larger auger to enlarge it. A small hole can be easily made with this little set. For planting potatoes, I used it. It is not uncommon for a drill to try to rip your arm off after the tip of a small auger bites, but a large auger has a smooth point that comes into contact with the tip of the spiral and just keeps spinning. It is very convenient to use the small auger because it can handle very small holes. In case of the large auger, expect a lot more kickback, so a firm grip is necessary. It's easy to see in the video that it was challenging to one-shot In the other hand, I was holding the phine while the center auger was grasped with one hand. Neither was too challenging for my cordless drill. It did not do a very good job of draining loose soil from the hole, which was the biggest complaint. There is a lot of pug mix gravel from the builders mixed in my soil, as well as limestone that naturally occurs. As I made the video, there was a slight drizzle, but it was When wet, it is difficult to break through the clay without being soaked. I've used it in the flower beds, where drilling is easier, and sometimes on dry days that are difficult to break through the clay. Even if I only needed this to start a hole, I prefer the ax to a shovel.
In my garden that was tilled last year, I use the small drill to make small holes. There is a sharp point at the tip of the rod that digs well into the ground. As there is no sharp point on the drill, it cannot drill through my soil. In order to get the best results with the large drill, I drilled first with the small drill, then with the large drill. It took me less than 30 minutes to drill 45 holes of different sizes. The caveat This kind of drill will probably not be compatible with a 12v drill. You need to be careful when using an 18v drill. After I drilled 15 holes, I smelled burning and had to stop using it. You need to watch your wrist as well because the drill whips your wrist when it gets stuck.
I enjoyed using this drill bit. A little more challenging to work with is the larger one. had used it a couple of times, but I found later that if I make 3 or more, I am able to use it more The drill bit used for the holes is "small" and you can drill the holes next to each other In my experience, using a bigger bit makes it work better and faster. In general, I really like it. The plant can be planted faster and more accurately, resulting in less mess and less disruption.
I was so happy to stumble upon them by accident. I haven't used the larger one yet, but it might come in handy for planting the large shrubs I plan to dig and plant myself next week. Unlike large augers that you can rent, these are not designed to be used like that. It is a simple process to work the sides of the original hole until the soil comes out. You can scoop what comes out as it loosens and falls back. I'll never have to dig a 22" x 22" hole that hasn't been touched in 30 years again thanks to this gadget! This is a good purchase for the money!.
They are good tools at a good price. I am growing older and anything that will help me dig is great! The following are some precautionary measures You should use any handles that come with the drill if you are digging in an area that is heavily rooted. If you dig in a heavily rooted area, your drill may spin dramatically, so grip it tightly.
